Houdini Logic Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Unless you're a deluded religious fanatic I can't possibly see an argument for not allowing it
Captain... Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Yes, and heterosexual couples should be able to have a civil service. I also think that same sex couples should be able to adopt and raise children, by that I mean be assessed for suitability on the same criteria as heterosexual couples. You can add join the army, give blood, vote and drive to that list.
Raw Dykes Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with it. Why do people opposed think it's any of their business? How does it affect them in any way, shape or form?
z-layrex Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Why should anyone care if it makes two people happy.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 This is my gay sex face.... This is mine
Raw Dykes Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Are you giving or taking? How do you know it's not both?
Houdini Logic Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Are you giving or taking? I'm waiting to receive...
21st Century Fox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I can't think of a reason in the world why not. The church doesn't own marriage, its now so entangled with law, the church shouldn't even have a say in it. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/e01ae82c03/devin-glenn I'd like to know what reasons the people who voted no have.
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 At the end of the day, they are just humans, they are just people. In that respect, they are no different to heterosexuals. Don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. Now, enough serious talk.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Yes, i think some people are just living in the dark old days.
CKB Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Yes it's 2012 for god sakes! Let them marry the world is gonna end in December!!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Can't wait for Mack to comment on this topic after his poor form in this http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/71415-steven-davies-comes-out-as-gay/
Gold Coast Fox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I don't see why i shouldn't be able to get married just because i'm gay, too many people think it would be taking something away from marriage but really marriage is gaining something. As for the argument 'you can't get married but you can have a civil partnership' that's like saying we can sit in the same room as you but we cant sit at the same table. You also see many everyday people and celebrity couples getting married after knowing each other for very little time and then getting divorced a few months down the line, yet this is less of a bad image on marriage than two people of the same sex who love each other just as much as any other legitimate couple getting married? In 2012 we can send people into space, drill the sea's for oil, even clone living things, yet we still haven't come far enough to let same sex couples have the same right to marriage as a straight couple.

Haydos Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 People that voted no care to give reasons why?
Jon the Hat Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 To those who are against same sex marriage, I strongly recommend you do not under any circumstances marry someone of the same sex.
ozleicester Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Unless you're a deluded religious fanatic I can't possibly see an argument for not allowing it Never a finer use for the word "this"
Zingari Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I'm not against same sex unions, but there is still a niggling doubt in my mind about gay male couples adopting children . I can't really give a logical and reasoned argument though, so i suppose it is based on no more than some form of selective homophobia .
Daggers Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Without homosexuality there'd never have been The IT Crowd's Work's Outing.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 In my experience heterosexuals should definitely not be allowed to marry....

Being this honest is very admirable at the end of the day it's a new concept it will take some getting used to. There's a great YouTube clip of a gay married couple talking to I say a 6 year old about how thery are "husband and husband" the kid laughs and tells them that's it's funny and that they can still play if they want too. It's really adorable to see it from a child's perspective showing no prejudice no pre thought homophobia or religious indoctrination just a young kid who has no issue with two husbands. Everyone should be seen as equal not in someone's "gods" eyes but us as human beings and until we learn to accept people as equals we never will move on.
