Was reading this topic earlier in the week but don't really ever post on here. FuriousFox46 has made all the points I owuld have made anyway.

Just happened to read this today though:

http://wakingupnow.com/blog/nice-work-if-you-can-get-it

It fits in nicely with the topic. I don't know whether to find it overly amusing or overly disturbing.

However, it shows why some are so against homosexuality....

They can make huge amounts of money by being crazy bigots.

What the shuddering fvck is wrong with people.

I want to stop him, he really is a vile hideous cvnt,

I actually have a plan to stop him but I will need some funds, can you please make donations, for running costs and management services to my "Hunt the Cvnt" registered activist lobbying charity. Please donate as much as you can.

I tried to argue the same thing, but in the end there is no argument against it, I fully support this legislation, but what I don't agree with is ministers spending huge amounts of time arguing and debating the issue, when all it really is is a name change. There are much bigger issues around at the moment, and the reasons for it political, there was no great debate for it until this legislation came up. As soon as this legislation was raised then it created opposition for it, making it a public issue (puts cynical hat on) so that the government can now be seen to be modernising, when in reality they aren't doing anything other than changing the name of the groundbreaking legislation of the previous administration, and trying to claim credit for it.
