At least my placepot is going (2/3 Cinders and Ashes and Darlan - Galileos Choice was dissapointing) AND I had a small each way on the third placed horse. But I am still a bit miffed.

adam1 Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 They are very bullish mate! They have sorted his jumping out and I think it's got a great chance. I'm of the opinion that Long Run and Kauto might not be at their best for this race. I've been looking for a horse which is a fair price for an each way bet. Midnight Chase I thought was a fair ew bet last year but was incredibly dissapointing. The race requires pace and he likes to lead - esp at Cheltenham where you could consider him to be a course specialist. There may have been niggling problems though. I remember something being said about him so I might have to do a bit of research. Oh and the Gifford yard have a very talented horse called Utopian. One to watch out for. Next appearance may be at Aintree in the bumper at the National meeting.

Hurricane Fly in a place does me ok. Placepot still going. Also had it on my l63. Obviously place terms is microscopic but it continues.

Hurricane Fly was the weak choice with regards to the short priced favourites today. Whenever bookies advertise prices and encourage certain types of bets- look into it. There is a reason. Hurricane Fly winning would have been preferred for my l63 but they were ew so I'm ok. The third for my ppot was good as well. Overturn - McCains horses are doing well at the moment. I'm also a fan of it. The crucial factor is its a front runner. Front runners as you might have noticed are doing well today (Fruity o'rooney). Scotts Irish in the cross country. Went the wrong way earlier in the season, jockey eventually got the sat nav going, and it finished strongly. Finished fourth that day. Travelling like it was a contender. Same weight as well. Ric Flair on here knows a bit about Mullins yard. I think he may have mentioned its chances.

So finger crossed for the placepot.
