adam1 Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Good lad, was this on my advice from a few weeks back? This has come direct from the Mullins and Elliot yard so it's well worth a punt! Whats the news on Quel Espirit in the gold cup?
Matt Posted 12 March 2012 Author Posted 12 March 2012 What everyone's bets for tomorrow then, Don't like betting before the day/like to wake up on the day and make my selections but seeing as I can trust my awful phone signal and doubt i'll be near the bookies tomorrow, I suppose i'd best do my bets tonight, just to be on the safe side. I'm just looking at the racecard now.
Bert Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Agent Archie and allure of illusion look decent EW bets in the first.
Guest MattP Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 1.30 Steps to Freedom @ 8/1 Prospect Wells EW at 25/1 2.05 already got a big double and treble on Sprinter Sacre, Big Bucks and Grands Crus.....however going into Paddy Power to back Al Ferof and Cue Card, you simply have to when they will give you the money back if Sprinter Sacre wins. 2.40 Pin in Paper, anything could win, will be on a couple EW that have ran good races here before 3.20 Zarkander and Bincular the value, the Fly should win, no bet. 4.00 Uncle Junior at 4/1 - won a cross country at Cheltenham in November and looked fantastic, will go close. 4.40 Quevaga should win, not backing at 1/2 though. 5.15. Hunt Ball at 7/1 and Carrickboy at 11/1 Good luck fellas. :trumpet:

Bert Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Uncle Junior looks good especially with Scotsirish drifting! For those on twitter I suggest a follow to @getyourtipsout if you're not already. Has a few decent winners daily.
Salieri Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 Haha, i've heard from a few other folk in the know that these two are nicely poised at the prices they are at so i'm all the more confident. Let's hope we get the dough, would be sensational if both won but both to place is expected in my eyes. I know next to nothing about horse racing Ric, but after seeing your tip stuck a £5 each way double on it! Fingers crossed.
Head Honcho Posted 12 March 2012 Posted 12 March 2012 1.30 Tetlami 12/1 2.40 Zarrafakt 16/1 3.20 Oscars Well 12/1 4.00 Fortification 25/1 4.40 Kells Belle 25/1 25p e/w Canadian Purely a speculative e/w bet so not really tips. Won't make my mind up until I've studied the form tomorrow.
Ric Flair Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Whats the news on Quel Espirit in the gold cup? They are very bullish mate! They have sorted his jumping out and I think it's got a great chance.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Did I see Bert post 'I'm not into horses that much?' I'm assuming that was in complete jest? I put a massive amount of wedge on SS and HF yesterday as it looked so certain. Annoyed now, as the prices were bigger this morning but will no doubt go back in before the off AND had a massive drift of doubt come over me about SS - Henderson is 1-53 with his chasers at Cheltenham since 07/08 - oh crap! That said, Nicholls is only 5-77 and Mullins 1-23, which shows you how competitive Cheltenam is. Elsewhere I'm liking; 1:30 Steps to Freedom - beaten a few principles in a previous bumper and has been put away for this. Irish have a good record. 2:40 Zarrafkat - bit of a punt this, but won his last race well and Emma Lavelle and Noel Feihly look a promising team. Pipe's horse The Package also interesting considering the backing it's getting - but may be worth Ante Post betting for the Grand National as that's where is being aimed before this race - if it does anything here, that price will tumble and with the price shortening all the more today, that maybe where the value could lay. 4:00 Double Dizzy - has been bang there in a couple of hunter chases at Cheltenham in te past and one that will have been aimed for this. One of the unlucky ones that went the wrong way last time, but was ahead of Scottirish who was by no means certain to win at that point. At 25/1 it's worth an eac way tickle. 5:15 Hunt Ball - this horse is a monster. I keep backing and it keeps winning, hoping for more of the same. May place in a double with Harry the Viking who opens up tomorrow's card. Here's hoping for a wallet friendly day.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Oh and everyone on this forum should be backing Albertas Run for the Ryanair - it is the foxes talk horse after all. There were a few that doubted it last year and look what happened, who says he can't do it again!

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 got to have a flutter on it, won me my season ticket last year in a double with junior! I backed both on course which made it a good day. Wouldn't mind history repeating itself!

Ric Flair Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Oh and everyone on this forum should be backing Albertas Run for the Ryanair - it is the foxes talk horse after all. There were a few that doubted it last year and look what happened, who says he can't do it again! I had £50 e/w on it last year. It has won me over £2500 since 2007. I did a £25 e/w ante post bet 3 weeks ago at 11/1. I'll will no doubt have a bit more on come Thursday.
Ric Flair Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Anyone bothered with this?? It is very informative. Just looking at it now. Cheers

Leicfox Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Just looking at it now. Cheers My selections...Day 1. Only 2 bets.... 2 singles & 1 double.......EASY MONEY Sprinter Sacre - Arkle. Hurricane Fly - Champ hurdle.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 My selections...Day 1. Only 2 bets.... 2 singles & 1 double.......EASY MONEY Sprinter Sacre - Arkle. Hurricane Fly - Champ hurdle. Anything but easy money - plonked it on last night in a confident mood, been stressing over it all morning. Is the smart play to take on SS through Paddy Power given the no risk nature? While SS get brought down by the bumbling buffoon that is Menorah and his jumping? Is Binocular going to run a blinder and beat the Fly? It looked like free money yesterday, but I'm being put through the ringer for it
StanSP Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Cinders and Ashes wins first race of Cheltenham Festival!
