acooling08 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Leicester City 2 - 0 Coventry. Nugent, Beckford scorers. Back-to-back League wins. Gained 1 point on 6th. Konchesky red card though. :scarf:
HEGGSY Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Fvcking YESSSS! I'm absolutely delighted with that 2 wins in a row :w00t: Becks and Nuge George....ssssshhhhhhhh
JonnyBoy Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 solid performance from all, could of had 5. Really pleased Beckford bagged he needed one, overall very pleased
Guest Bilo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Potentially big win. Would love to see us 'do a Reading' and put a really good string of wins together now. The trouble is, that's exactly who we're playing next week at the Madejski.
Guest Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Great win Should've scored more Never a red Other results not too bad
Jace Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 3 WINS IN A ROW!!! 2 LEAGUE WINS IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
katieakita Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Dodgy pen for them ffs, and a red for Konch and a 3 match ban 7 pts off 6th or being positive 8pts behind Blackpool with a game in hand, any idea of attendance and how many made the trek from Cov
HEGGSY Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Cov were abysmal today. Well done to the lads for taking advantage of that so comfortably.
Guest Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 And still well off the playoff positions so we shouldn't buckle under pressure yet .
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 YES The monkey is finally off our backs. Konchesky will be a big miss though. I fear we could miss his quality when we play against Reading. Reading winning again, 6 in a row. Lets hope they can be stopped by ourselves! Brighton dropping points is a positive. One extra point gained Anyway, first, we go to Bristol City, who are on a wretched run of form, so it's a game we ought to win really. I hope we can kick on from here, though I still we will fall just short in the end.
burni Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Refs decisions were not that bad but they definately didn't go our way when they looked 50/50 to how they could be handled. however that didnt matter today! wouldn't mind doing one over on bristol next!
wurmer Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 1) Back to back wins. 2) Clean sheet 3) Other results not hurting us too much. 4) Top half of the table. 5) Red card only downer - we will appeal though.. Overall, a pretty good day.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good win, very pleased. I expect the wheel to come off when we play Reading away
martin7 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Great result leicester nothing better than win over cov nugent and beckford scoring bring on bristol on tuesday
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good win shame we didnt get more though. The red card happened so quickly i couidnt really see it. Two wins in a row which was a must but have to win at bristol or we won't have gained anything.
ousefox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Great win. Fantastci performance first half, should have been four or five really. Wellens and Dyer were absolutely quality, with Wellens running the show once more- so glad he's back on form because he is definitely one of our top players on his day. Dissapointed with Konchesky's red, doubt we can appeal as it was quite a bad foul, not sure about a sending off though. He will be missed but Kennedy is a more than apt replacement.
lcfcsnow Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good win but Cov were shocking really, should have had 5 by half time. Not impressed with Marshall and Peltier. What are we doing bringing Howard on still? He offers nothing and is a waste of a sub, Kennedy for Konchesky would have saved us another suspension. Pearson has to learn and stop messing about with old timers not upto it, it's going to cost us.
Lambert09 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Against Reading I would rather have Kennedy against Kebe any way..... Konch wouldnt have a chance at keeping up with him bless

Win a game and people still find a tiny pointless thing to moan about.

What are you on about? FINALLY got back-to-back league wins! Now we can see how much this was affecting us. We really should have scored 4 or 5, but it's still a great result, even if it wasn't the best performance. 7 more points to make up. Probably too late, but who knows?
