Ashley Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 at the Coventry fans fighting between them selfs in the ground. Also justice for the lad who got nicked at the end, broke a seat them was throwing coins into the family stand. Hope the steward is okay who took a few punches of that idiot of a coventry fan.

Guest shearfox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good win back to back wins for the first time this season... puts us back in with a chance of the playoffs, game in hand on Blackpool must win
ScouseFox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good, solid win. Should've been more, few shocking misses, few times we were unlucky. Ref and assistants were woeful, thankfully it didn't cost us, as Coventry were worse than woeful. Jesus Christ they were poor. Countless times they just ran the ball out of play, missplaced passes, horrific control. Nuge and Becks both bagged, clean sheet, happy days bar Konchesky's red. Which I didn't see properly.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 I thought Coventry were better than Derby. Which really is not saying much at all.
iamafox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Great win today, fully deserved. Konchesky being suspended for 3 matches is of course a big setback, but now Kennedy has the chance to prove to himself and to NP that he is worthy of the left-back spot. Speaking of Kennedy, I personally don't think he's a bad player, he did okay when he played against Palace and Norwich.
Webbo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Could have been 3/4 goals up in the first 25 minutes without playing especially well. The only thing Beckford did was score but I'm not complaining. Their penalty looked harsh, I didn't see the red card well enough.
Happy Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Great win we could of scored more but at least the back to back wins monkey has come of our backs, at the Coventry fans who wanted a fight at the end. 2-0 on your big day out.
Mack Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 There's no point appealing that red card because under the laws of the game technically it was a red card, even if it was harsh in the circumstances. Studs in the chest and they wont give ground on that. On the game itself we should have been 3 or 4 up in the first half, we really did miss some sitters and early in the 2nd half it looked like they might make us pay. Thankfully Beckford ended their hopes of a revival. Onwards...
Bert Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Win was the most important. Don't think the performance was that great but Coventry were so poor we didn't need to get out of 3rd gear. Both goals came from balls into the box which was pleasing, and even more so that both strikers got one. Coventry fans embarrassed themselves today. Fighting amongst each other and that bloke at the end was a complete tosser. Fair play to the steward for not letting him get away.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Understandable that the Coventry fans would get rowdy today. It's going to be the last time for some years they'll get to enjoy their big day out. Rivalry with Walsall next year boys.
Webbo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Special mention for Lloyd Dyer as well, he's been great these last 3 or 4 games. I was glad I was there to clap Berner off as well, quite a special moment when Nigel came out to hug him.

Yojoe36 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Cov were shocking. Couldn't stop laughing when they missed the peno. Players running into each other, almost letting us score. Then fighting after the final whistle. Oh dear god they're laughable
Matt Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good game, glad we beat that lot. Onto the next one, we've won 2 in a row something we've not done for a while 2 in row for me is no considered consistancy though a run of wins is consistancy, lets do that.
rico Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 i'm sure someone will tell you that we've won 3 in a row
Simmsy Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Cov are the worst team I'v seen at the KP all season (including Swindon who played kmuch better than them)- they were woeful with defenders running into each other etc. A special mention for their number 7 who was exceptionally poor. Morgan is an absolute tank and Wellens ran the show. I loved what was nearly a third as well with that total football . Think beckford's been playing the FIFA Street demo.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Good game, we looked solid, Cov were atrocious, they did have a few spells of possession but were never allowed to really pressure us with serious attempts, some truly comical moments from them - but we've turned a corner, broke the back to back voodoo, let's have a good run now...

Definition of a Leicester reject. David Bell, Played 6 games for us on loan.
Webbo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Who missed the 2 open goals in the first half? From where I was I thought it was Marshall but listening to the radio on the way home it might have been SSL.

NewburyFox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Very good win today, and it was certainly a sad moment when Bruno said goodbye. Their penalty though...
broughtonblue Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Dodgy pen for them ffs, and a red for Konch and a 3 match ban 7 pts off 6th or being positive 8pts behind Blackpool with a game in hand, any idea of attendance and how many made the trek from Cov Attendance was apparently 25,436 but looked more like 28k to me
