Bert Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 8 - great penalty save, had total control of everything and his kicking was good. Pelts 6 - A bit shaky but played his part in the clean sheet. Konchesky 6 - definately a red otherwise did ok. Morgan 7 - defended well and was unlucky for the penalty. SSL 7 - another solid performance Marshall 6 - should've scored but made up with an assist. (I think) Dyer 7 - his cross lead to our first. Teams just can't deal with his pace. Danns 6 - a missed penalty but a very energetic performance. Wellens 8 - ran the show. Thriving under the arm-band. Nugent 7 - in the right place at the right time, but the knock he took affected the rest of the game. Beckford 7 - great touch and turn before Nugents goal and got himself a goal.

kingfox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Schmeichel 8 - Quality penalty save, great keeper, some off kicks towards the end though Peltier 6 - Average performance, did ok in parts other parts not so St Ledger 8 - Absolutely fantastic, gets stuck in won quite a lot of headers aswell Morgan 7 - He is a solid defender, got stuck in a bit too much though Konchesky 8 - Consistent performance defending and attacking again, until red card Marshall 5 - Our worst player, wasn't impressed at all Danns 5 - When we thought he was improving he puts in a bad game Wellens 7 - Controlled the midfield well Dyer 7 - Back to his dangerous best, just needs to improve on final ball though Nugent 7 - In and out of the game, but always puts in a shift Beckford 7 - Not in the game much, but when on the ball he looked good, and goal was deserved Subs - N/A Bruno Berner 10 - His presence on the pitch at half time, had me in tears

lcfc2k Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 8 - Another Penalty Save. Pelts 7 - Not at his best but can see why he is needed, needs to capture his early season form. Konchesky 7 - Solid despite the red. Morgan 8 - BEAST. SSL 7 - ROCK Marshall 6 - Ok, Needs to impose himself more (missed a sitter too) Dyer 7 - Speedy. Danns 7 - Gave everything but please do not take another Pen. Wellens 8 - Real Captains performance. Nugent 7 - Mr Reliable, quieter than usual but ran his socks off before getting a knock. Beckford 7 - Tried his hardest , giving it his all and got a goal. NP and Fans - 10, Tactically correct keeping a winning team, Fans as a traveller back and fourth between London always nice to see a whole stadium getting behind the team and chants, looks like the players are thriving off the energy too Officials N/R - What's the point
Daz93 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Schmeichel 8 - Not the greatest pen, but guessed right and saved well. Solid throughout. Peltier 7 - Got some good tackles in and a few good blocks as well. Morgan 7 - Did well against a tricky player in Nimely. Looking much more solid with him at the back. SSL 8 - Another flawless performance. Could have scored. Konchesky 7 - Unfortunate red card, played well before that. Marshall 6 - All he had to do was get it on target, but he shows good promise. Better defensively than Gally. Danns 5 - Not a great pen and was generally poor. Bad possession retention. Wellens 8 - Great again, controlled the midfield and battled well. Dyer 7 - So dangerous when he runs at people, needs to keep it up. Nugent 7 - Good reaction from the keepers save and good assist for Beckford's goal. Beckford 7 - Good turn and shot leading to Nugent's goal and a well taken goal for himself. Great partnership forming. Cov 0 - Such a terrible side. Decent win against a poor side. Could've scored many more. Ref was also pretty bad.
Happy Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Morgan a 9 for me top class player certainly what we have been missing in central defense, put it this way he is everything that Matt Mills isn't.

Webbo Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Morgan a 9 for me top class player certainly what we have been missing in central defense, put it this way he is everything that Matt Mills isn't. He had a good game but he did give away a penalty and get a yellow card.
Happy Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 He had a good game but he did give away a penalty and get a yellow card. Very debatable penalty decision it looked to me that Nimely dived, what a fecking cheater. But Morgan and St Ledger are performing very well.
Guest Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 8.5 did nothing wrong Pelts 9 strong going forward good in defence and his throw was dangerous. Konchesky 7.5 played well Morgan 8 another good performance SSL 7 a few mistakes especially for the penalty Marshall 6 good corners but missed two sitters to put the game away early Dyer 8.5 fantastic start to the game, disappeared a little but always willing to work at both ends Danns 6.5 not his best outing Wellens 8.5 looking good as captain Nugent 8 nice goal Beckford 8 worked hard
Bettsj2 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Morgan a 9 for me top class player certainly what we have been missing in central defense, put it this way he is everything that Matt Mills isn't. Hmmm He struggled at times with Platt. To be fair though, Platt appeared to be the biggest man in the world.
Saxondale Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 9 - Near perfect but for a couple of moments of dodgy distribution Peltier 7 - Solid Konch 8 - Great, as always. Don't understand the sending off St Ledger 9 - Brilliant Wes 8 - Very strong, a little clumsy at times Marshall 6 - Still looking a bit inexperienced to me. Good corners Wellens 8 - Great battling and creativity Danns 7 - Great work rate but some sloppiness Dyer 8 - Lively as always Nugent 7 - Good effort Beckford 7 - Ditto Schlupp 6 - Didn't have too much opportunity to make an impact Drinkwater 7 - Battled away Howard 4 - Offered little
Libertine Dream Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Very debatable penalty decision it looked to me that Nimely dived, what a fecking cheater. But Morgan and St Ledger are performing very well. He needed smashing with an old fashioned tackle today, pranced around, fell over a bit but offered little as a Striker
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Hmmm He struggled at times with Platt. To be fair though, Platt appeared to be the biggest man in the world. Looked like SSL was marking Platt most the time.
Rusko187 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Very debatable penalty decision it looked to me that Nimely dived, what a fecking cheater. But Morgan and St Ledger are performing very well. Agree with this, he won the ball and the cov player looked to have dived.
Thracian Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 8.5 (Inspiring as ever with his penalty save and some imaginative and mostly accurate distribution). Peltier 6 (Steady enough but nothing like as effective as Konch who as a contemder for MoM before his sending off). Konchesky 7 (Linked so well with Dyer but spoiled a committed and valuable performance with one rash challenge.). Morgan 6.5 (Rugged but I'm not yet convinced. Conceding the penalty might have been costly but Coventry offered so little in attack that a clean sheet was always likely, apart from the penalty). SSL 7.5 (Read the game well and competed for everything). Marshall 6 (Should have stayed calm and gobbled up his goal chance. Little sign of his alleged ability to take people on and get past them). Dyer 8 (Part-assist for our first and caused panic among the Coventry defence to create several more chances).. Danns 6.5 (Quite why a midfielder and occasional goalscorer should have been taking our penalty I've no idea but he was never going to score like that. Always industrious though and involved in all aspects of our game.) Wellens 7 (Excellent first half but joined others in falling back in the second which made our team almost entirely negative apart from the second goal). Nugent 7 (His 14th goal for us showed exactly what he's about and how valuable he is. Lost some sharpness in getting hurt in scoring that goal but still managed an assist for Beckford). Beckford 7 (Poacher's goal and an assist for Nugent. Two major contributions and, although otherwise disappointing, it's effect that counts and our strikers were effective enough to win the game between them). Subs: Schlupp, Howard, Drinkwater played their part tactically in steering us to victory with 10 men but nothing stood out.
Dan Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Schmeichel - 8. Saved a penalty, dealt with everything perfectly, couple of mis-placed kicks but not arsed. Peltier - 6. Good in parts, very weak in others, still losing faith slowly. SSL - 7. Pretty solid today, so much more convincing than Mills is after all. Morgan - 7. Again, solid, conceded a penalty but then again, penalised for heaving strength, it's a good job that never cost us, never ever a penalty. Konchesky - 8. Great game but ruined it, sounds like he was rightly sent off too. Marshall - 6. I'm not yet convinced by the lad, he can take a good corner but other than that he's not had this amazing impact like the SWFC fans all said he would. I'm not giving up but he's got to offer more. Danns - 6. Over-ran a little, to be fair he played well on the ball, just off-it he was fairly disappointing. Wellens - 6. Same as Danns, played some very nice passes though. Dyer - 7. Ran at them well, he still goes missing when we need him most at times but when he's on the ball, he's often very useful, even if his end product could improve. Nugent - 8. Goal, assist, and ran like a madman again. Best forward since being out the top flight, I'll say it again. Beckford - 7. Poachers goal and nearly got the other, quiet game although some of his passes were FLAIR. Referee/Officials - 1. Fvcking diabolical, up there with the worst all season. Atmosphere - 7. Pretty good for a lot of it although had some times where it was piss poor, shame the new song never got going.
Libertine Dream Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Think Marshall just needs to settle in, and get to grips with the higher standard. Needs to do something pretty good just to get his confidence flowing again, after all he is only 20.
Guest ttfn Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Think Marshall just needs to settle in, and get to grips with the higher standard. Needs to do something pretty good just to get his confidence flowing again, after all he is only 20. His set-pieces have been great. So far been very unimpressed by his all-round play, but he's a young lad settling in. Next season will be the time to judge him properly methinks, but I can't see Gallagher having any issues getting back in ahead of him.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Kasper 8 - great penalty save Pelts 6 - Had a decent game Konchesky 6 - defender well and did a few decent attacks Morgan 7 - defended well. SSL 7 - solid performance Marshall 6 - Didn't do much this game, should of scored but oh well we won Dyer 7 - Another solid performance, they couldn't handle him all game Danns 6 - Pretty poor penalty but did alright in the game Wellens 8 - Controlled the game, has looked good since captain (MOTM) Nugent 7 - Had a good game Beckford 7 - Another decent game I thought the ref was alright today if i'm honest, linesman wasn't really and I can understand why they got that penalty, couldn't see what konchesky did, didn't he kick the player in the chest? But anyway Kennedy is a good left back and Konchesky will be back for the cup game which is good, 3 points after a game we should of scored more goals but never the less, 2 back to back league wins after 33 games! come on you blues
Kitchandro Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 Schmeichel - 9 - No mistakes, saved a penalty, what more do you want. Peltier - 5 - Not great. Decision making questionnable. Morgan - 8 - A rock again St Ledger - 7 - Pass back nearly cost us a goal and he missed a good chance but other than that good. Konchesky - 7 - Decent before being sent off. Marshall - 5.5 - Good set pieces but did nothing else, missed a sitter. Danns - 6.5 - Energetic and won the ball well, passing not the best. Wellens - 7 - As above but was involved in key moments Dyer - 7 - Coventry put at least 2 men on him which stifled him, but he was still quite positive when he got the ball in good areas. Nugent - 7.5 - Got another important goal and an assist, ran around a lot but I didn't notice him as much as usual. Beckford - 7 - Again not hugely involved but he did what he was there to do, had a hand in Nugent's goal too. Subs Drinkwater - 7 - got his foot on the ball well, we were in control and slowing it down when he came on. Schlupp - 6 - Had to sit back to cover for Dyer when Konchesky was sent off, couldn't get into the game. Howard - 6 - Just made up the numbers til the end.
gingerlcfc Posted 3 March 2012 Posted 3 March 2012 kasper 7 lee 6 wes 8 sean 7 paul 6 ben 5 captain fab 8 danns 6 dyer 7 dave 8 beckford 7 wes morgan and ssl did well against their big man up top and paul played well but got red card. more to see of ben ( i hope!) but he has a great future only 20 so great game and strong back 5!!
