RonnieTodger Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Did anybody watch this on Sunday night after MOTD2? I did, and the main thing you can grasp from it, is what a willy puller that Flavio Briatore is. He just wanted everybody sacked as soon as they lost and typified exactly what was wrong with foreign ownership of football clubs. I don't think it was any co-incedence that when he stepped down, Rangers were allowed to get some consistency and win the title. If you missed it, you can watch it in iPlayer. It's quite interesting.
ousefox Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Watched it yesterday, bloody good documentary- was really suprised it wasn't advertised more. Definitely worth a watch. Agree about Briatore, all he did was call the managers idiots. Might as well have done it himself!
Maybes Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Paladini was worse. The man didn't have a clue. Top viewing mind.
Unabomber Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Was a really good watch. Some of the shit that Briatore was pulling was ridiculous - "I want the names of the people whole booed me or I sell the club"
Ric Flair Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 One of the funniest things i've ever seen, I kept forgetting it was real.
Lovejoy Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Really enjoyed it. Seeing what Briatore was like was quite interesting, and his nodding dog Paladini, who's clearly a clueless twat. Have to say I didn't like the way they were trying to get certain players brought on as subs, and telling Dowie what to do in reserve fixtures stinks.
leicesterisme Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Paladini kicking the wall when Bristol City scored a late equaliser last season was brilliant.
James across the Pond Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 As a Fulham fan too I'm glad they're gonna get ran into the ground.
HEGGSY Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Had some nice highlights of when we beat them 2-1 at there place B) It was a cracking watch though.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 I thought that Amit Bhatia came out of it looking alright. Paladini looked like he was fearing for his life over the potential points deduction!
JonnyBoy Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 very interesting, i dont know of any documatary similar. Brilliant viewing. Palladini came across as a muppet, Amiat Bhatia did ok to be fair to him
davieG Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 I thought that Amit Bhatia came out of it looking alright. Paladini looked like he was fearing for his life over the potential points deduction! Seems the only sane one there.
StanSP Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Thoroughly loved Amit's approach in his position as one of the part-owners of the club. He had sense and seemed very level-headed, realistic and controlled. Then you have the other end of the spectrum, a forceful, ruthless, abrasive Italian in Flavio Briatore. Middle name 'knee-jerk'. Paladini was in the middle - wanting to do well for the club, sometimes opposing Briatore's decisions and trying to get him to think again, but in the end emotions get the better of him (kicking something in front of him when Bristol City score an equaliser in last minute (it was funny, though)). It opened my eyes as to the way that club was run, and I wouldn't bet against other clubs being similar...
Corky Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Did they show us battering them 4-0, having played quite well? The reactions would've been worth seeing
Lovejoy Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Did they show us battering them 4-0, having played quite well? The reactions would've been worth seeing No, sadly . On the whole was just reactions for home games.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 I remember seeing Matty Fryatt score a brace in our black kit.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Was a great programme, often when I watch tv I am half distracted by my phone which might as well be surgically attached to my hand. But this had me gripped - very good to watch and I was surprised at how revealing it actually was
Out Foxed Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Did they show us battering them 4-0, having played quite well? The reactions would've been worth seeing no, they showed millers last minute goal
Jace Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Brilliant documentary and really made me feel like we are stepping in the right direction when compared to how they struggled with big investment. Really is a must watch for all Leicester fans I think!
Saxondale Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Great programme. I'm amazed they allowed the bloke to film so much.
davieG Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Great programme. I'm amazed they allowed the bloke to film so much. Because they arrogantly thought it was going to be a walk in the park, a bit like our guys in that respect although they came across as a totally dislikeable arrogant arseholes in their everyday activities/dealings with people.
GBLCFC Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 They need to do another one of these but with Venkys at Blackburn! I can imagine that being very entertaining!
