Moto Hello Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 If you open your fridge or your cupboard, what are the items of food which you most like to see?
Captain... Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Crisps, I love crisps, I can devour packets and packets of them, it is not good, but when I get that salt craving, salt and vinegar crisps are my smack. Incidentally what is with this trend of starting threads with questions without offering an opnion of your own, I find it most disconcerting, what are you hiding?

I'm just looking for ideas for when I next go food shopping.
Webbo Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Put a slice of cheese on a cream cracker or Ryvita and put in the microwave for 15 seconds. Tbh as a snack it only tastes meh but it only takes 15 seconds.

We used to get it by the pound weight from the local butchers
stix Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Ahhh.. my childhood favourite... I didn't know you could still buy it. We used to get it by the pound weight from the local butchers Its just a case of grabbing it when i see it on the off chance nowadays. Sort of opportunistic 'panic buying' excuse the pun. Wierdly i used to be in to bread & dripping when i was a child, i think it was simply because my grandad used to love it & he was my hero when i was little. The thought of even looking at it it now makes my stomach turn!
sphericalfox Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 I hadn't noticed these the shop until yesterday when my wife left (for holiday) and I had to endure the supermarket myself. I used to eat these whenst in the States. They haven't lost their crispiness which is a core attribute in the crisp snack industry. I feel if you have not had the opportunity to eat these, then do. If only they did them in salt and vinegar, I think I could eat an entire bag in one sitting.

Captain... Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 Walkers salt and vinegar baked crisps, on a bit of a health kick and I love crisps, these bad boys are healthier than those horrible snack a jack flavoured cardboard crap and much nicer, not as nice as walkers salt and vinegar crunch, they are the daddy of crisps for me.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 September 2012 Posted 15 September 2012 I also have a penchant for a pickled egg... One of them with a little sprinkle of salt atop... Mmmmm
21st Century Fox Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 Roasted Chickpeas, covered in cajun seasoning. Better than peanuts, healthier than crisps.
