ian the fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 what a load of utter bollocks !!! great mentor my arse , too old n slow , thanks & good bye
dannythefox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 If true its a bad decision he's past it let him have one or two seasons in league one he's been good for us but his times up!
skinnydipper Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The only coaching role he should be allowed anywhere near is if it's driving the team bus.
Stevosevic Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 If he isn't going to play, keep him on. I like having him around the place.
MC Prussian Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I don't think Howard's good enough for the Championship level any more. But it's unfair to cast him as some sort of malign cancer at this club. He's a great guy, still highly professional and committed. I just wish we had loaned him out to a League One club earlier this season - and this thread wouldn't be necessary at all.
Guest Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The only coaching role he should be allowed anywhere near is if it's driving the team bus. Wouldn't Richie Wellens be a better candidate ?
ian the fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 thanks for the memories big Steve , heres a bag of money towards the new house in Northampton or Luton , & THE BFH
ian the fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Wouldn't Richie Wellens be a better candidate ? Is he popular then ?
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Get gone. Maybe in the Kelly and Levein era I would have seen the sense in keeping him around. Now we are where we are financially it makes zero sense becuase we can either a) afford better or b) get rid of him in order to be able to afford better. How is someone who can come on at Palace and get himself sent off for running his mouth (jeopardising the result) be good to have around the place/a good example? He should have been gone one, maybe two years ago, please don't make that three!
ian the fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Can he not do some back slapping , arsehole creeping for a couple of seasons on matchdays , i think hed be too proud to hang around as a bullshitter ........
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 My mate is very very good mates with Howard. SH told him a few days ago that he will continue on a 1 yr contract as a COACH not as a player. His duties will be coaching forwards the following: 1. How to foul defensive opoposition. 2. How to come on as sub and pick up a yellow card in the first 5 minutes 3. How to whinge and moan constantly at the ref 4. How to pick up a red 5. How to try and convince your supporters you are great by scoring a header once in a blue moon. 6. How to make out that you are hard working by huffing and puffing 7. How to cover an area on the pitch of no more 8m x 8m. 8. How to whinge and moan at your own players 9. How to look like a poor mans Ian Marshall 10. How to get your contract renewed A.K.A making sure you have some serious shite on the manager. Haha agree with all of that! Great target man a couple of seasons ago but his time is up.

seenitall Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Should turn him into a central defender and keep him
Guest Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Should turn him into a central defender and keep him haha could replace SSL
MrSpaM Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Yeh get him off the wage bill, and replace him with somebody who's on ten times the amount, that’ll help reduce it! Genius!
Happy Fox Posted 30 March 2012 Author Posted 30 March 2012 Put it this way if you had the choice of Heskey or Howard, it would be Heskey every single time, I hope Heskey returns home we need him .
phillo Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 think hes seen better days time to put out to pasture if we had adog like that youd put it down
Foxhateram Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Heskey over Howard yes, but won't happen. Howard is still a good player. Feel sorry for him really he hasn't had much game time and it must be hard to get into a game when you play ten minutes here and there. I think against these lesser more physical sides we have got coming up he may feature a bit more. We need a target man in these games and if people read the flick ons then we will be on to a winner. Brace yourself gang I think Steve might have a part to play in the run in. You boo boys will have to boo for longer than ten minutes, that's realty going to hurt your throats. Come on Steve prove em wrong. Come on you foxes up we go!

Quite possible according to skysports http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11677/7636723/Gabby-wants-Heskey-to-stay Gabriel Agbonlahor is hoping Emile Heskey will stay at Aston Villa after insisting his fellow striker still has a role to play at the club. Heskey is out of contract at the end of the season and Villa assistant manager Peter Grant has suggested any talks are on hold until the summer. The former England international has been linked with a return to Leicester City,
strattylcfc Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Hope so good to bring on late 2nd half get some flick ons and assists although we dont bring him on so much now :-(
ian the fox Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Why would we exchange one old man for another , we need tomorrows man , not yesterdays ........
