Carl the Llama Posted 30 March 2012 Author Posted 30 March 2012 Heather: Peat: I know which I'd rather get my lips around.
lcfcadam Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Now, a taste of Heather wouldn't be too bad, but a taste of Peat sounds a bit to gay for me. lol That has to be one of the most surreally hilarious and ridiculous posts I've seen! Good work that man!
Finnegan Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 It's fast becoming that time of year again, just as long as the weather holds.

The People's Hero Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Top tipple: Summertime - Gin and Tonic. Favourite is Sipsmiths, but Plymouth, Greenalls, Bombay Sapphire and to a lesser extent, Gordons, are all nice. Must be very cold, plenty of ice, lemon and lime and really quite strong. Lovely. I could go for one now - bit concerning at 11.25. Winter - Port. Or red wine - I like fruity, gutsy wines so a tempranillo/rioja/malbec usually and a cheap, nasty shiraz when it calls for it.
lcfcadam Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Winter - Port Now you're talking. Oloroso sherry as well, oh yeah...
The People's Hero Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Now you're talking. Oloroso sherry as well, oh yeah... I ended up with about 7 bottles of port and sherry over Christmas due to buying it myself and people buying it as gifts. I've got about half a bottle of port left. Actually had about 4 large glasses last week in the evening sunshine in the garden, which was lovely, but I felt pretty appalling the next day. I tried to learn a bit about port, but was surprised to find my favourite - both tasty, rich and somehow easy to drink without being too sweet was a Marks & Spencers bottle at about £7.50. I think it was on offer though. I'll find out what it was and post it up/
AyewJoking Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Loving Crabbies alcoholic ginger wine at the minute.
Unabomber Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Don't drink much anymore, but love Gentleman Jack whiskey, and more or less any wheat beer, and 21st Century Fox Franziskaner is delicious.

A wheat beer fan as well! Yeah Franziskaner is definitely top of my list, Erdinger is good too. I had a pretty good Samuel Smith one in a really good pub in Holborn called The Cittie of Yorke.
Guest Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I know this is an acohol thread but this is my favourite drink if I'm not allowed I do quite enjoy
Jon the Hat Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 This from a pub in Burton-on-Trent from an oak cask. Like honey... We used to enjoy a pint in the Coopers Tavern. Nice to know it hasn't had to travel far.
Jon the Hat Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I enjoyed a few pints of Shooting Star ale in the White Horse parsons green before the Chelsea game. Mate of a mate owns the brewery.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 There is a few people in this thread that need to have a good hard look at themselves in the mirror.
