Ozwin Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Doesn't feel like a Pearson team, he had January and didn't do anything so I reckon if he's still here in the summer then there'll be loads of ins and outs. We don't do the simple things like we did in his first stint, players don't look like they know what their roles are, they all try to doo too much or in some cases too little, it's a bit of a shambles to be fair. Hobbs and Brown, Wellens and King, Fryatt and Waghorn. We had partnerships all over the pitch, it was consistent, now it's a bit of a free for all. It's hard to form a partnership when your strike partner is by your side one week and on the wing the next. The same goes in midfield when you're partner is on the bench or whatever. It's just a mess.
Narborough Bod Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Can someone who was actually there say what happened? Also what did Pearson actually say afterwards. All I've seen is people say he had a stop and they fell out without any details? Pearson pretty much said nothing in his dour (professional) way. Along the lines of 'it'll be sorted in house'. Standard Manager response.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 If he is going to disobey what Pearson wants him to do he can fvck off.
Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 yeah because Pearson is infallible and not at all guilty of allowing his massive ego to get in the way at times like so many accuse players of doing...
The People's Hero Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Getting rid of Beckford over this would smack of when Big Trev and Stan had a fight. And we sacked Stan.
Stadt Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 please god ! not an LCFC type player...egotist and heartbreaker.. burnt his bridges today. So a good player then?

It's just a mess. I agree with this. The likes of Wayne Brown for example are invaluable to a team. As a footballer he was poor, with no pace a head like a sheriffs badge and a worse passer than Mills. However he was disciplined, organised the back 4, was clearly a leader on the pitch and made us look a better unit. It is not always about the ability of the player but how he improves the team that is important. That is what we need for next year players who know their roles, can offer leadership and make others around them better players.
Guest Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 yeah because Pearson is infallible and not at all guilty of allowing his massive ego to get in the way at times like so many accuse players of doing... Isn't that irrelevant? If your boss tells you to do something and you do it and it doesn't work out then it shows he was wrong but no biggie. If you tell him to do one, you deserve to be disciplined.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Pearson just leave mate. And who will we get in to replace him?

If you tell him to do one, you deserve to be disciplined. not if he is refusing to change something that they know isn't working and hasn't for some time no, managers have to be big enough to listen to senior players, I doubt players just go straight to telling the manager to do 1, they would of talked to him many times before that

Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 And who will we get in to replace him? I'd have Holloway back at any time
Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I'll just agree to disagree. players that believe in what they are doing and the managers plan will always perform their job better, even if Pearson isn't going to change he has to convince them why he's right
Guest Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I'd have Holloway back at any time I can't agree with that. He was a clown that took us down.
Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 seen Blackpool recently, how they play, how well they do, with a fraction of our budget?
Guest Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 players that believe in what they are doing and the managers plan will always perform their job better, even if Pearson isn't going to change he has to convince them why he's right And they have to play 90+ mins on the pitch.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I'd have Holloway back at any time You're a twat then.
Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 I can't agree with that. He was a clown that took us down. and he went away learnt from it and changed his football philosophy as a result, he'd of gotten us back up too if he'd been allowed the chance
Guest Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 and he went away learnt from it and changed his football philosophy as a result, he'd of gotten us back up too if he'd been allowed the chance I'll have two of what you take then I'll believe that we're going to get promoted this season and that Beckford is an intelligent, senior player who knows better than the manager.
paddy Agyemang Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 Beckford was better than nugent and pelts today
cc_star Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 seen Blackpool recently, how they play, how well they do, with a fraction of our budget? He did well before us, & well after us. However he could be said to be our worst ever manager. Yeah, sign him up.
Jimmy Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 You're a twat then. no you are if you're ruling him out based on what happened last time, timing is a big part of getting results, he has gone away, learned, changed and improved, something I'm not sure Nigel has done
THEFATBASTARD Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 So a good player then? under MON his feet wouldn't touch..
