Beckfords last game?

Recommended Posts

So that's three players Pearson's fell out with now?

I have to agree with Finnegan, his tactics have been terrible for the last few games, bringing on Howard for Dyer when we're chasing a goal anyone?

What the hell happened?

Morgan was playing centre forward (great tactic lol), Beckford tracked back as no one was back apart from Bamba, and had a strop about it. Kasper booted the ball forward and we won a free kick, Bamba and Beckford were still only two players in defence and I think he was saying to Bamba/Pearson there was no point going forward and in the end their wasn't as Drinkwater blazed over and the final whistle went. All blown out of proportion, what about Nugents reaction that could have got a red?

Sven wasn't here for just a few months last time I checked, he had 2 transfer windows with spending reaching around £20m, so someone who failed to see what Sven was doing and wanting him out after a year is in a completele different sheituation to someone who wants Sven to have a similar amount of time and/or resources

This is actually correct; and it can be proven!

There are valid anti Pearson arguments. But Sven V Pearson isn't one of them.

I'm sitting right now with a rather large crowd of football fans, none of which support Leicester. One of them just remarked 'your fans must be the most f***ing stupid fans in the world'. I'd disagree, but this sort of thing doesn't help me.

Oh god

Another thread with 10,000 comments despite no one knowing what will happen behind the scenes

Just close the forum then and let's stick to official club announcements. You spend alot of time on a forum for someone that doesn't want to talk.

Up for debate about anything, but if it's anything like Mills thread then it's all based on nothing but chinese whipsers, which I personally thought was kinda pointless

I wasn't there, only listening to the commentry but I dont really blame Beckford for being pissed off...I was pissed off sitting on my sofa so god knows what it was like being out there...yes it might have been unprofessional but we were SHYTE

I don't think we can ever trust a radio commentary. You need to be there or be watching a video feed.

Seems to me that you use the "can't be proved" card for anything that doesn't agree with your opinion, which seems to be Pearson is God and above all criticism.

you obviously know nothing of any of my comments then

My only PoV about Pearson is that he's capable of building a good team, certainly one better this loose collection of players who've collectively amounted to nothing and that he should be given opportunity to do so.

I'm annoyed that we're not going to be promoted & that it hasn't worked out better with these players who promised so much in the form of hope & dreams of what might be, before turning out appalling display all too often

I'm hopeful that the signings of Marshall & Drinky in 2 20ish year old players is the way forward, and in 2 and half seasons NP has showed me that he deserves at least a summer & the following period of games to see how that goes.

I didn't see that game today, but from what I heard on commenary Beckford also 'bottled' a chance to throw himself in and score in case he got hurt by hitting the woodwork. He has talent but we need strong minded players who are prepared to be brave. Beckford doesn't fit this criteria for me and his petulance at the end just proved this some more.

I'm not arguing with you. Can't be arsed ... I just notice you defending Pearson against any criticism in any thread .... He's OK, he'll always be dull, he'll never be a top manager as he isn't a top entertainer, so he may be good enough for a few years to get is to the next stage, but I never thought he was good enough to do it quick enough. He's too stubborn and will do it "his way" which will not suit our ambition or pockets now.

haha, no way is this his last game.

I have always been a fan of Beckford, but today he was awful

Give him a good pre-season and he could be a gem for us next season.

However, waters not clear with regards to Jermaine, 50/50 whether he will stay or not

this is true. back stick and he didn't put his head in. the other thing i can't really comment i didn't even notice he was on the halfway line. not really sure why it's such a big deal we had free kicks all game and didn't use him in them. i'm more annoyed by drinkwater's lazy/lame/pointless effort.

Finners is right, we had him playing well and scoring then change the formation to make him less effective.

He should've been braver at the far post but he wasn't a disgrace out there, and no worse than most of the others.

I actually think beck could be a valuable player to have next season, but def need a new strikers too, the problem is if he is on the bench he will just kick off. I hope Pearsons temper doesn't cloud his judgement when deciding who stays or goes.

Posted

Nah won't be his last game. In the last month+ he's been great and shown what he can potentially do. Despite us not scoring in the last two, the strike force has been fine. The formation shift seems to be the problem, imo.

Can someone who was actually there say what happened? Also what did Pearson actually say afterwards. All I've seen is people say he had a stop and they fell out without any details?
