Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 July 2012 Posted 31 July 2012 I like the fact someone says "black lesbian disabled" and in Hope Powell we actually manage to get two out of three! I didn't realise she's a disabled lesbian!
Guest Bilo Posted 31 July 2012 Posted 31 July 2012 The way I see it with Powell is that she's qualified to UEFA Pro level, she has managed on a world stage with England at numerous tournaments and has done a pretty good job against countries where the women's game is better resourced and more established. I'm not saying she's going to pitch up at Old Trafford when Ferguson retires but to suggest she isn't qualified to manage a BSP or even lower end Football League because she's a woman is just misogyny.
Corky Posted 31 July 2012 Posted 31 July 2012 I'd rather see her get a job than the usual merry-go-round of failures and old boys that move from club to club.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 July 2012 Posted 31 July 2012 Personally I think somebody like Powell would know how to control the dressing room, I think trouble making players would shut up and do as there told!
Danno Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 What would happen if you were shagging the manager to get into the first team?
Danno Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 I don't see why people say men couldn't hope getting orders from a woman. You listen to your mother and quite a lot of women are directors of big businesses, could work.. But the job should be given to the best candidate.
ozleicester Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 So... Women cannot be managers because they need to be respected..and they arent. This is the concept that has brought about the PC (gone mad) world in which we live. You fvcking idiots, you dont respect someone because of their gender, colour etc, you treat them equally and then judge if their experience and skills make them an ideal candidate for a position. If a talking border collie demonstrates a history of managing successful football teams, then i would consider it for manager at City, lets face it, we are fast running out of managers, we either start using the same ones again.. or look outside the norm. Edit; Oops just realised we've already started the manager recycling... never mind.. maybe next time Lassie

accessory Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 What would happen if you were shagging the manager to get into the first team? Like that doesn't happen now?
Leicesterpool Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 In a everyday job your boss could be a woman.
21st Century Fox Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Yeah, but what if she's on the blob? She'd probably have the temperament of SAF on any other day.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 What would happen if you were shagging the manager to get into the first team? As Hope Powell is a lesbian I would suggest that's quite unlikely...
jonthefox Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 As Hope Powell is a lesbian I would suggest that's quite unlikely... I thought all lesbians had blonde hair and big boobies. Well in the films i watch they do.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 They don't all wear dungarees and lumberjack shirts either surprisingly. It just seems silly to me that football exists within a little bubble, she's probably more qualified than a lot of shit male managers who seem to get jobs easily enough.

But she's nowhere near as stylish as Paolo Sousa, so those shit male managers are still better. Style > Winning. That's what Thracian says isn't it?
ramadaone Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Hope fecking Powell !!! Passing an exam doesn't make you a good manager. If it was that easy we could all do it.
