Finnegan Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 My sleeping pattern is majorly ****ed because of work. Its roughly something like Monday 10am-2pm. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday nights are normal(ish) sleeping at like 2am-10 Thursday evening I have a few hours nap Friday 11am-4pm then another hour nap later on until midnight Saturday 3pm-10pm Sunday varies a lot but has a similar structure to Friday Despite the randomness im usually able to fall asleep pretty easily at these times That's gutting mate, you must never get to games.
Raw Dykes Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I find reading sends me to sleep very quickly. I'm reading a book about stopping smoking and it's incredibly boring. I can only get through one or two pages before I'm too sleepy to carry on. I have had trouble sleeping before, and I it was usually when I had too much energy after a lazy day, or I was thinking too much. Doing some sit ups or press ups just before going to bed helped. If I didn't do that, I'd just try to think of the most boring thing possible. Try to picture pitch blackness, or a really slow countdown from 100 to 1, or a ticking grandfather clock, or watching Stoke City play.
Webbo Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I quite often find myself sitting in the bathroom reading at 3 in the morning.

Steven Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Six to 8 1/2 hours sleep every night. Head hits the pillow and I am asleep ten minutes later. My advice is to try and do some exercise earlier that evening.
The Doctor Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I don't really do sleep. Less than 4 hours a night does me fine.
leicesterisme Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I've never really had to much sleeping problems tbh but I do go for a run each evening and when I'm back I'm about ready for bed! Some sort of exercise in the evening may help?
Guest Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 try 4 cans of special brew I find them a little cold on my toes when I get in.
stix Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 try 4 cans of special brew Hardcore. That would send me to sleep if i'd just woken up!
Guest Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 I don't really do sleep. Less than 4 hours a night does me fine. I'm about the same, maybe 4-5 hours at a push. Mostly cos of the randomness of my job and the hours I have to work but I usually try and catch up every now and again by having a stupidly long sleep, which is why my days off are generally write offs
Rincewind Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 I need sleep now. I normally nod off at the wrong times. Bit like my Uncle Tom in that respect Last time he fell sleep he never heard the passengers of his coach as he drove it off a cliff. Seriously I'm awake all day then start to nod off early evening or after just a couple of pints. Then I stay up till 2am waking up fairly early.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 I really struggle to sleep when i need to be up in the morning, when i have nothing to do the next day i have no problem sleeping.
Daggers Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 Hmm. Woke at quarter to twelve and I know I'm going to have to give up in a minute and pop something to watch on again. Also, I have a craving for some decent sushi. And a coke.

Also, I have a craving for some decent sushi. And a coke. That's your probablem a line will keep you awake all night. Make sure you don't have to much or any caffennie during the day, that's half the issue.
21st Century Fox Posted 13 April 2012 Posted 13 April 2012 I really struggle to sleep when i need to be up in the morning, when i have nothing to do the next day i have no problem sleeping. I'm exactly the same. I'm sure I do it subconsciously to self-sabotage myself, it's really annoying. I'm going to do it tomorrow, when I need to get up early to get to London for the Millwall game, I know it. I usually end up having to drink a load of energy drinks the next morning. It's pretty bad if you've got to get up and pick someone up from the airport.
