Bilbo Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I do like Peltier and thought he looked lke a good prospect at the start of the season. However unlike Naughton he struggles to get back to his defensive position after pushing forward and so many soft goals (see Barnsley as an example) have been conceded on the right when is is awol.
Fox92 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Think it is, Nigel rates him though I think... If he releases him then I won't be a happy bunny. Agreed.
Raw Dykes Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Think it is, Nigel rates him though I think... If he releases him then I won't be a happy bunny. I like Vassell, and I'd be happy to have him here next season, but I won't be surprised if he's released. He is getting on a bit now, and he might not be the same player after being out injured for so long. His wages might be a problem, as well. I don't know.
Bryn Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Don't really see how you can advocate giving Vassell a new contract... he hasn't played the football to warrant it, obviously not his fault but nonetheless, and he's on good money, £15k a week or so. You can't justify renewing that, it's a big wage. If he accepted a sizeable pay-cut or a pay as you play deal, that's a different matter.
Rincewind Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I was trying to avoid this side of the forum but curiosity got the better of me. Just hearing theres going to be more investment. Mercury says there is going to be a clearout. Hope nobody's expecting a big win today A few of the youngsters have traveled up to Leeds with the team. I'm pessimistically optimistic.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Glad Moore is playing he deserves too because of his Palace perofrmance, and plus Peltier is shit.
Ric Flair Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Glad Moore is playing he deserves too because of his Palace perofrmance, and plus Peltier is shit. Couldn't agree more.

Well, talking for myself, I like Vassell because I think he has been consistant since signing. He has the ability to beat players, a bit tricky and although he doesn't have a great goalscoring record, he has the ability to score a goal for us, as we've seen before. I understand he may not be the same player because of his injury, especially considering his age, but it would be a shame to see him go. Also, how have you got the 15k figure? Is that true or have you made that up? I doubt he is on that much, however, I wouldn't think he is on little wages either.
Bugg Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Glad Moore is playing he deserves too because of his Palace perofrmance, and plus Peltier is shit. Definitely. Peltier is awful and I might explode the next time someone calls a 25 year old a "good prospect"

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Definitely. Peltier is awful and I might explode the next time someone calls a 25 year old a "good prospect" The worst thing Peltier ever did was score against Cov at the start of the season. Everyone rated him just because of that goal, and seemed blind to the fact he cant defend and we let so many goals in from that area.

I can't imagine he's on less than £10k. I like Vassell but you can't base his consistency on this season because he simply hasn't played.
ScouseFox Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I hope Panayiotou plays. He's got a cracking name.
Kitchandro Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Is his contract up at the end of the season? Hope he gets a new one, even if it is just one year. Consistant since signing, and offers more than Gallagher and Dyer. I honestly don't think he does. Even up front he scores less than them. And his performances on the wing were generally woeful, he ran up blind alleys on the few occassions he actually got into the game and his final ball is dreadful. Dyer and Gallagher aren't models of consistency but they can have an impact on their day. Vassell was consistent at hiding out on the touchline and being invisible.
wight88 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Who is Bamber? Bamba's evil twin? That'll be Jeremy Bamber then. Explains the high police presence. High risk team and all that.
MikeyT Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Drinkwater having a mare so far today by the sound of it.
Raw Dykes Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Who is Bamber? Bamba's evil twin? Might be Bamber Gascoigne, original quizmaster of University Challenge. If he's any relation to Paul, he might be alright, but he is getting on a bit. He's 77 years old.
5waller5 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Stringer shut the F$%K up and tell us what's happening on the pitch!!!!!
MikeyT Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Stringer shut the F$%K up and tell us what's happening on the pitch!!!!! If bugger all is happening in the game, they have to fill up the air time somehow.
steveherbe Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Bloody Coventry, can't trust 'em to do anything right. All us Hants Foxes are cheering them on, just so we dont have to suffer the plastic Saints.

5waller5 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 If bugger all is happening in the game, they have to fill up the air time somehow. I understand that but you could hear the game going on and he was banging on about his marathon. AGAIN.
steveherbe Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Rather Saints than ****ing WHU, pricks. No mate, living amongst them, I'd rather Cov went up than Saints!!

The amount of Saints fans coming out the woodwork down here at the moment is ridiculous!
