body102 Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Real shame we can't get Vitor back , he was a real class act .
Libertine Dream Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Maybe Matty James is the cover for CB. Everyone keeps forgetting he's not just a midfield player, He can also comfortably play at CB if called upon to do so. Or maybe people dont want a promotion chasing side relying on utility players, playing in a make do role. Remember Kisnorbo was awfulin midfield but was great at centre half

LB - Konchesky, Kennedy RB - De Laet, Moore CB - Morgan, St. Ledger, James, (De Laet) I still think one more centre half would be a good idea.
nickelbyfox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 yep if we get chester and stewart, or similar mould/type of players will be very happy for the upcoming season!
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Real shame we can't get Vitor back , he was a real class act . People still complained about him , oh leicester fans...

Just to provide back up, although I know both Peltier and De Laet can play centre half. Real shame we can't get Vitor back , he was a real class act . I only wish. Those two goals at Scunthorpe were second to none. Top defender. interesting Chesters has not issued a Stewart " i wont go to Leicester" statement As above, Stewart was interviewed. I doubt any Hull players, especially key figures like Chester and Stewart, will join but the whole "Im happy here" just doesn't mean anything anymore.
UrbanFox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Say we do get Chester, who becomes the centre back pairing then? If its Chester & Morgan I can't see st ledger wanting to stick around if he's on the bench every week
Raw Dykes Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Say we do get Chester, who becomes the centre back pairing then? If its Chester & Morgan I can't see st ledger wanting to stick around if he's on the bench every week It's good to have competition. I think the main reason St. Ledger demanded 1st team football was to get a better chance of getting into the Ireland squad for the Euros. With no major tournament for two years, he might be more willing to fight for his place. I think there is definitely room for three good centre halves fighting for the two first team places, or to be used in rotation.
Leicfox Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Or maybe people dont want a promotion chasing side relying on utility players, playing in a make do role. Remember Kisnorbo was awfulin midfield but was great at centre half Maybe not but that's what we've signed so far. Three players that can play in more than one position add Marshall, Gally, Drinkwater, Dyer, St Ledger & Danns who NP has played in different positions to the list and that's exactly what we have.
Grewks Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 we do not have a squad which relies on utility at all, but having them is definitely an advantage.
DanTheFox07 Posted 15 July 2012 Posted 15 July 2012 I think well put in an offer for chester in the next couple of week`s question is how much do Hull think he is worth! Pearson has already said he will not pay silly money and weve learned from whole mills saga? I would say put in a 2.5million offer and go to 3million at the highest, if that isn`t accepted look elsewhere, can`t afford to waste our summer chasing one player!

Jimmy Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 people will laugh but Stearman is apparently available and we could do a lot worse then sign him back to play CB for us
marko Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 people will laugh but Stearman is apparently available and we could do a lot worse then sign him back to play CB for us Yeah, like signing Akinbiyi to play CB. Otherwise, I think we can do better.

Lambert09 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 What's with the stearman hate? Seem to remember him giving his all for us everyday. He made the right decision to leave IMO
Grey Fox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 What's with the stearman hate? Seem to remember him giving his all for us everyday. He made the right decision to leave IMO He gave his all, but sadly that wasn't good enough. He was last part of a team that had the worst season in our clubs history. I never rated him and still don't. I'm sure he's a nice bloke, but I would rather someone else. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
Jimmy Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 he was being used as a right back when he was always a CB and played there in a Wolves side that pretty much walked the league
Bettsj2 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 he was being used as a right back when he was always a CB and played there in a Wolves side that pretty much walked the league Then got jizzed on by every single striker in the Prem.
Bert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 What's with the stearman hate? Seem to remember him giving his all for us everyday. He made the right decision to leave IMO Got billy big bollocks and jumped ship as soon as he could. Top bloke.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Everytime I seen him on tv he was always at fault for goals. I honestly think my dog could have done better. even if he would get penalised for biting the ball a few times. Ball boys would geta break though.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Got billy big bollocks and jumped ship as soon as he could. Top bloke. Completely ridiculous comment. Stearman was a good player for City and moved on so he could play in the Prem and probably earn a better salary. That was his choice. And he took it. I personally thought Stears was over rated but never a billy big bollox. Why do so many people on here suddenly begin to slate players after they have left the club (or when they know they are leaving). There is life after LCFC you know..

AKCJ Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Billy big bollocks is completely hypocritical. You're only saying it because you think he should have stayed at Leicester whereas he moved to a club in a higher league with better possibilities of promotion (which happened). It's not arrogance for wanting to play for a better team. I'm surprised he stayed for as long as he did with all the dross that surrounded him. I'd take him back, for sure.
