AKCJ Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Then got jizzed on by every single striker in the Prem. NEWS FLASH! Leicester currently play in the nPower Championship!
Bert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Completely ridiculous comment. Stearman was a good player for City and moved on so he could play in the Prem and probably earn a better salary. That was his choice. And he took it. I personally thought Stears was over rated but never a billy big bollox. Why do so many people on here suddenly begin to slate players after they have left the club (or when they know they are leaving). There is life after LCFC you know.. Not ridiculous at all. It's true. It was the manner he left. Couldn't wait to leave and I know that for a fact! If you're gonna try and belittle me at least get your facts right as he only moved to a team that was in the championship at the time.

Bert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Not every comment is about you or related to you mate... He quoted my post....
THEFATBASTARD Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 He quoted my post.... but was it belittling? don't be so precious....
Bert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 but was it belittling? don't be so precious.... Oh yes, bow down to me for I am the great one, the greatest there ever has and will be. Dear me.
Dan Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 To be fair to Stearman, he's from Wolverhampton. Please don't touch him though NP, I'm no huge fan of St Ledger but I'd honestly rather him there than Stearman, seriously one of our most over-rated players ever.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Oh yes, bow down to me for I am the great one, the greatest there ever has and will be. Dear me. Well, if you say so..
Simo86 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Billy big bollocks is completely hypocritical. You're only saying it because you think he should have stayed at Leicester whereas he moved to a club in a higher league with better possibilities of promotion (which happened). It's not arrogance for wanting to play for a better team. I'm surprised he stayed for as long as he did with all the dross that surrounded him. I'd take him back, for sure. He was also born in Wolverhampton and from what I've heard he is a Wolves fan
Bert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 He was also born in Wolverhampton and from what I've heard he is a Wolves fan Told me he was a Leicester fan!
Soar Fox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Stearman wouldn't be a bad signing can play centre half or right back. Can't blame him for leaving got a decent offer from wolves and it's proved to be the right move as he's played in the premier league for the past 2 years.
Albert Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Stearmen wanted to stay but the club needed to sell due to our relegation to League 1 and couldn't turn down the offer. Personally think he's a bang average player....isnt strong enough for a centre half
PeterTaylorsApprentice Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Stearman still to this day attends Leicester home games if Wolves aren't playing on the same day. Fact, best mate is cousins with him, supports Leicester aswell...
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Told me he was a Leicester fan! He's from Wolves, supports them but travels back to follow City when he can. Stears has remained good mates with some of the younger players who were around at the time, including King (still here if course) and Ash Chambers. From what I've heard, Stearman is a pleasant young man, a good pro and still has a fondness for LCFC. I thought you were the fountain of all knowledge Bert?? Oh great one.....??
whitlock Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 I know that Stears came back to the club to say his goodbyes to players and staff... Also regularly use to watch the youth players in there games at the KP, hardly say that's the mixture of a billy big bollocks.
FrankieADZ Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 amazing how a James Chester thread suddenly turns into a Richard Stearman thread only on Foxestalk
kyleolly Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 I've seen him in the foxhunter in Enderby a few times so i presumed he still lived in Leicester whenever i've spoke to him he seemed like a really nice lad never came across as a Billy big time his bird is top notch too!
foxoffderby Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 I met Stearman in a lapdancing joint once top bloke but to be honest never rated him as a player
Fox92 Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Told me he was a Leicester fan! I thought he was, hence the crying when we were relegated... Then he left
ARM1968 Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Jesus he went somewhere to better himself - what's the big deal. Better wages and Prem football. Can you blame him? We'd all jump ship for a massive wage rise - just makes sense. Always seemed like a decent lad to be honest.
eaststandtom Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 richard stearman was one of 3 or 4 players who could hold their heads up high after that relegation farce. he was sucked in to the mire and his performances dipped but he, for me, was always a player who was worthy of playing in a better team. he has gained experience and should be a better player now. he certainly is flexible and i think he would be a decent signing. compared to the other players in our team at the time he was far from average. funnily enough, the guys who left hume, mcauley, stearman were the ones who played with fire in their bellies towards the end of that season. barnsley away i remember stearman diving into challenges with no thought for his own safety.
