shen Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 What an odd game this. Thoroughly entertaining with all the goals, but both teams seem like they have no clue how to defend. No idea how Sweden got back into this game, but what a sumptuous third goal by England. Don't know if Welbeck meant that, but a great move and a brilliant finish if intentional.
MooseBreath Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 We are unbearably fragile at the back. This is hard to watch
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Be very interesting to see Ukraine vs England. Both fragile at the back, Ukraine will be so very up for it with some good attacking talent.

Was very disappointed with Ukraine today. Maybe I'm not giving the French defense enough credit, but they were a mere shadow of the team that played Sweden. That said, if England cannot contain Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko, I suspect they may be in trouble. Wow, could've been 4 or 5 for England in this game. Another brilliant save by Isaksson
Father Ted Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Cant help but laugh at that arrogant twat Ibrahimovic who told Joe Hart to fvck off after their second goal. get on your plane home bellend

Webbo Posted 15 June 2012 Author Posted 15 June 2012 What a great game, typical British football. Top marks to Woy, he got it right all match.
FoxyPV Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 England Some shambolic defending but did well to turn it around.
Corky Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Cracking game, England did enough with three excellent goals although this was against a backdrop of poor defending from set pieces. Hodgson picked Carroll to start, he scored, brought on Walcott and he scored and set up the winner. Good management. Would drop Young for the next game, Rooney in for him, but can you drop Carroll or Welbeck?
acooling08 Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Best game of the tournament, proper English style high-tempo game!

shen Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Best game of the tournament, proper English style high-tempo game! Wouldn't say it was the best, but it was certainly one of the, if not the most entertaining game so far. The quality was very questionable, but great spirit from both sides to bounce back
FoxyPV Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 I thought Ibra was good tonight - starved of possession so had a limited chances to make an impact. He dominated any English defender when he had the chance.

Corky Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 You do wonder what people want, listening to the radio now. On Monday we were too negative and not attacking enough, tonight we were too open and better teams would've torn us apart. So what is it? What do the experts want from England?

It's the same people who keep telling us we have to accept that we're not good enough who seem to be moaning that we're not playing like Brazil.

Corky Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Milner is such a negative player, pointless having him out wide. Milner's good for games like the France one, he has a defensive discipline that is needed in those situations when we'll be up against it for the majority. Tonight's sort of opposition, Walcott is probably a better option.
Anorak Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 **** off Zlatan, you big nosed twat! Yeah, that's my post match analysis.
ADK Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Milner is overrated, looks overweight and gives alot of free kicks away. Managed to miss an open goal vs france too. Thought carrol was good, we have to pick the right team against Ukraine though. Definately helps having someone with genuine pace, either walcott or oxlaide-chamberlain. We really need to work on set piece defense, Ukraine will get alot of free kicks from home bias and have some tall players too.
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 We can't expect any more than we've done so far. A draw v France and a win v Sweden. Roy's got us playing to our optimum for each game so far. Fair play to him and the team. We can't expect any more than we've done so far. A draw v France and a win v Sweden. Roy's got us playing to our optimum for each game so far.
