davieG Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 OS Leicester City have been handed a home game against Peterborough United to kick off the 2012/13 npower Championship season. The visit of the Posh to King Power Stadium on Saturday 18 August is part of a challenging start to the new campaign for Nigel Pearson's men, who have also been dealt trips to Championship new boys Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers before mid-September. The season's opening stanza also includes home games against play-off finalists Blackpool and Pearson's former club Hull City. The return fixture with the Tigers forms part of the Foxes' festive schedule, with City making the trip to the KC Stadium on Boxing Day, while newly-promoted Huddersfield Town will visit King Power Stadium on New Year's Day. After a home game against Millwall and a trip to Barnsley over Easter weekend, the season concludes with a tasty-looking trip to East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday 4 May 2013. The Reds also provide the first East Midlands derby opposition of the season at King Power Stadium on Saturday 10 November. Derby County head to Filbert Way on Saturday 1 December, with the return fixture at Pride Park on Saturday 16 March. The start of the league season is preceded by the first round of the Capital One Cup, which will see City travel to Torquay United on Tuesday 14 August. bluesbrothers Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Oh FFS. I just knew we'd get Blackpool away in Feb.
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2012 Author Posted 18 June 2012 Tough start. Hopefully we can beat Peterborough, I have confidence to be fair, but then Charlton and then Blackburn (both away) will be tough.
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2012 Author Posted 18 June 2012 Huddersfield, Leeds, Charlton Bolton away are all Tuesday nights
Happy Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Our first ten games look tough that is for sure, just imagine getting promotion at the Shitty Ground , and sending the twats down.

Hitesh Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 November is a tough month I'd say. 4 away games, 2 at home and some tougher teams!
LcFc_Smiv Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 This really is going to be a tough season, I've never looked at a fixture list and seen so many teams who I think can give us a good game.
