AKCJ Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Feeling very pessimistic looking at these games now. I see another 9th place finish tbh. Surely you already knew we would play everyone twice?
Mark_w Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Really happy with the fixture list, Hull and Forest on Boxing Day and the Final day of the season should be fantastic. Not an easy start but I'm sure we'll do fine.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 If a trip to the valley is the highlight of your season I'd imagine open day at the Stobart depot near Daventry sends you over the edge!? More the Chrissy P connection and it being one of the nearer trips I was going to make a good day of. I would assume they have now finished the kiosks since my last visit in 1998, but who can tell?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Our first ten games look tough that is for sure, just imagine getting promotion at the Shitty Ground , and sending the twats down. nice thought
Mark_w Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Our first ten games look tough that is for sure, just imagine getting promotion at the Shitty Ground , and sending the twats down. I imagined that with Leeds last year, didn't work.
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2012 Author Posted 18 June 2012 I was saying tough start earlier, but looking at the first two months again, Peterborough, Blackpool, Burnley and Hull all at home are beatable. It's the four away games over August and September, in particular, that will be tough. Charlton maybe on a high after promotion, Blackburn and Wolves will be tough and Middlesbrough isn't an easy place to go.

Can see wins against Posh,Burnley,Hull and even Blackburn. Reckon we could scrape some draws with the rest. Who knows but with a tought start to the season like that I'd be quite happy. 🐺
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 derby away just in time for them to put a spanner in our works
Leicester_Loyal Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 derby away just in time for them to put a spanner in our works We normally end their unbeaten run and put a spanner in their works.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 We normally end their unbeaten run and put a spanner in their works. At home. Still, it won't always happen
fox ache Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 11 games mid week!! FOX ACHE........ Can add at least 3 more to that when Sky get involved.Really pisses me off why they cant get fixtures sorted earlier, guaranteed to miss a few because of shiftwork, would`ve thought twice about season ticket................................... But then i say that every year !!!!!!

Hollism Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Anyone got a fixture list that looks decent when printed out?
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2012 Author Posted 18 June 2012 Anyone got a fixture list that looks decent when printed out? Printed mine off of OS? Its ok. If you look back in the thread someone has posted them all, so just copy and paste onto Word and there you go.

Just printed it off the OS and stuck it on the fridge doesn't look bad Ticked 8 Home and 10 away games I want to go to
ealingfox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 What things did you expect that didn't come up? Surely you already knew we would play everyone twice? I knew who we'd be playing but now I see it written down as fixtures I look at them and just can't help but think that we won't win enough games to compete at the top of the table.
gazrjohnson Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 October looks like a month where we can pick up some points. Both Leeds games midweek is a bit disapointing! Forest away last game, im there!!!
BrummieFOX Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Anyone knocking up a fixture list screen background?
Dan Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Anyone knocking up a fixture list screen background? This. I'm gonna wait and see, tempted to make myself one on paint.
Walker Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Least Sheff Wednesday is on a Saturday. Love a good away day in Sheffield!
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 What will be the new manager's first game...?
davieG Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 Problem looks worse because as time goes on you see more and more teams that where in the PL since we were last in there, where as we once view as at best an established PL team and at worst a PL/Champ. yoyo team we're now viewed as an established Championship team that recently sunk to League 1, have we ever been so bad?

Hey you !!!! You can stop that pessimism right away, young man !! We're now an established Championship team that is looking to challenge for the PL .... only 5 years ago we were a desperate Championship team, clinging on to even that by its fingernails !!!!! Where's the prozac, anyone ???????
Fox92 Posted 19 June 2012 Author Posted 19 June 2012 There are so many big clubs that are established Championship clubs. Including ourselves, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Derby, Ipswich etc. The division is so easy to slip into, but hard to get out of.

We're now an established Championship team that is looking to challenge for the PL .... only 5 years ago we were a desperate Championship team, clinging on to even that by its fingernails !!!!! Where's the prozac, anyone ??????? We'd didn't manage to cling on though did we and had our lowest ever finish albeit as L2 (Level 3 Champions) which the club and some people look upon as some outstanding achievement, yes it was good to get straight back but it was our lowest ever finish! This is the longest spell, just starting our 9th year we've had at this level discounting the even lower level L2 year since 1954 (8 years) well before my time of watching and the 2nd longest since we came into being, back in 1909-1925. We are now a (Level 2) Championship Club that still doesn't seem to know it's arse from it's elbow. Even that I could take with a smile if we hadn't total fooked the club up by overspending and going into admin, Yes I'm not feeling too enamoured by LCFC today but I'll get over it.
