Occassionally the ref will be slated by most people, not surprising considering the standard of officiating at this level. There are far more people slating Pearson and the team after a defeat most of the time. Early in the season maybe it was a bit different, but I haven't heard the ref widely blamed for a defeat for ages. No, you are right....we didn't win last week because the excuse was the pitch last week wasn't it...

I can't remember many doing that. It's a shame you were focusing on the pitch comments rather than the many talking about the reason we didn't win.

Officials were poor for both sides...you had a goal which maybe crossed the line not given but there was a potential handball in the lead-up to your allowed goal albeit we messed up ourselves.

Hardly the poisoned dwarf's fault if the other team's players can't control themselves. But I do agree with the main point that all the games, with the exception of Bolton, that he's been in charge for have been against utter tripe.

Had a couple of good penalty shouts (against Deeney and Doyley) Interesting thing is neither threw themselves to the ground like some players (including others of our own) might which maybe didn't help their "cause" Certainly think you will in the play-offs now...
