Tinman Posted 10 March 2013 Posted 10 March 2013 Could you do the usual rolling over for us next week? We need the points. Don't you worry,it's a guaranteed 3 points gifted from us.
Bluebirds Boyo Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 You're a good wum, I'll give you that, but if you look at the Pearson era signings (Morgan - 1.125m, Marshall - 1.1m, Drinkwater - 0.9m, De Laet - 1.125m, Wood 1m, Knockaert - 0.9m, Whitbread - 0m, Vardy - 1m, James - 1.25m & Futacs - 0m [and Nuge on a free or was that a Sven signing?]) for a total of 8.7m, compared with the offloads (Mills - 2.25m, Bamba - 0.9m(?!), Peltier (0.75m), the loans of Danns & Beckford, and the departures of Vassell, Paintsil, Weale, Howard & Tunchev) for a total of 3.9m, leaves us with 4.8m in the red minus whatever we've saved on wages since Pearson came in.That's the Pearson era which stretches back into last season. Looking at Cardiff's transfer business this season: IN: Campbell - 0.75m, Maynard - 3.15m, Noone - 1.26m, Smith - 0.38m, Connolly - 0.635m, Bo-Kyung - 3m, Velikonja - 2m, Mutch - 1.25m, Kiss - 0.63m, Lewis - 0m, Helguson - 0m, Bellamy - 0m = 13.37m OUT: Blake - 0.5m, Gerrard - 0.45m, Miller - 0.64m + a load of frees = 1.59m = 11.78 in the red + whatever extra you're spending in wages on the likes of Bellamy & Helguson. Had you come on here saying that in the Sven era we'd have had to hold our hands up and say fair cop, but to suggest that we're on similar spending terms now is frankly insulting and indicative of the poor information dispersed by media outlets and readily gobbled up by the clueless masses. *Disclaimer*: Most values are estimates taken from the largely reliable transfermarkt website and I may well have missed people out. I guess if the past week or so of stories on your finances has taught us anything, it's that your accounts aren't calculated using the Transfermarkt website... Safe journey down tomorrow, guys and gals.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21737406 how Billy Davies works
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 I like it when they look inside of clubs. You get to see how the manager is actually like as a person. People will sit on here and call him whatever, but look at him on that video, even going as far as watching the under 18's. It's just like when Nigel Pearson's former team mates said that he was the joker in the dressing room. As fans, we only see what goes on outside of the club, the external part of the manager. Great stuff, I've always liked Davies, think he is a good manager at this level as well.
BHAFC Braders Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Worrying times indeed , unless Gus calls in an emergency loan we're screwed abit up front due to a STUPID sending off!! Bolton took their chance well , N'gog should've made it two really - worrying how badly we're being marked out the game. Tomorrow night is almost season defining now!
Simmo86 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Good away performance from Hull Something we're miles away from! Remember when we were 2nd?
marko Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Hull 1-0 up I'd turned over at 0-0 to watch the Oscar Pistorius documentary, but up until then they were distinctly average at best.
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Didn't expect Hull to be winning. They always seem to lose against Burnley.
ruisliptiger Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Is anybody watching on T.V.? It sounds anything but comfortable on Radio. I would appreciate your opinions. Didn't expect Hull to be winning. They always seem to lose against Burnley. Lost seven on the bounce against Burnley. Including some severe spankings.
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Lost seven on the bounce against Burnley. Including some severe spankings. Thought so. One of my flatmates is a Hull fan, and he always mentions it, in fact, he thought you'd lose again today. He usually tries to avoid the Burnley fan living next door

Including some severe spankings. You've been shit but so have Burnley. Quinn scored a good goal. You'll see it out. Good luck in the Prem We'll never play you again!
Simmo86 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Bit over the top. Not really. They'll survive in the Prem with Bruce incharge. We not getting promoted anytime soon and you can't sustain being 80 million pounds worth of debt in the Champ. League 2 here we come!
Guest Bilo Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 I'd still back Watford over Hull sadly. Hull have taken one too many thrashings whereas Watford are exceptionally good on the road and scoring goals for fun.
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 I know Bruce is a good manager, although I think he was relegated with Birmingham from the Premier League. I just think its slightly early to be saying they will be in the Premier League and we won't be getting promoted anytime soon. Anything can happen between now and May 4th, although I don't think we will make automatic (I never thought we would anyway). I still think Watford are the team for 2nd.
ruisliptiger Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 IF IF IF We get there, I agree I think we stand a better chance than last time. Though I don't think we're anywhere near being confident of Auto's yet. At this rate Watford go up as Champions with Cardiff scraping in ahead of Palace and Hull. Then the Play-off is a bit of a free for all.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Not really. They'll survive in the Prem with Bruce incharge. We not getting promoted anytime soon and you can't sustain being 80 million pounds worth of debt in the Champ. League 2 here we come! Seriously? They're nothing special on the whole and our shit form of late has been in stark contrast to an excellent season, one where we've taken four points from Hull. I can see us meeting in the play-off final if I'm honest, so long as we get our form back on track.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Watford and Palace are consistently the best footballing sides in this division in my opinion.
chrishlcfc Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Thank God that's over. yes another example of the poor standard of football being played in the championship this season. fair play to hull for grinding out a win though, this is what we need to start doing.
Happy Fox Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 I bet the Hull City fans are loving the fact they are 10 points clear of us.

Hull are solid, reckon they'll see second place out now and Watford will finish 3rd and you're right about them being nothing special! Just makes me more pissed off that we've reverted to Leicester City of 09/10 rather than the one which got us into 2nd place!
Kitchandro Posted 11 March 2013 Posted 11 March 2013 Not really. They'll survive in the Prem with Bruce incharge. We not getting promoted anytime soon and you can't sustain being 80 million pounds worth of debt in the Champ. League 2 here we come! Wow. Man up.
