Championship 2012/13

Hull are solid, reckon they'll see second place out now and Watford will finish 3rd and you're right about them being nothing special! Just makes me more pissed off that we've reverted to Leicester City of 09/10 rather than the one which got us into 2nd place!

I just think we've gone through a poor run of form. If you remember, during 08/09 and 09/10 (both seasons obviously under Pearson), we went through a spell of not winning for five/six games. We will come out of it, I'm confident of that.

Glad you are. Im not and even if we do we've already ****ed automatic promotion!

I don't like Hull City, something about them pisses me off

Phil Brown? We get that alot. He's the first thing alot of people associate us with. The lovable wee C**t

This is the first thing I associate you with

Sorry, I needed cheering up!

I bet the Hull City fans are loving the fact they are 10 points clear of us. :(

Nope. You could do us a favour by doing Cardiff like. I still have a gut feeling we'll meet in the play-offs.

Did you expect automatic promotion before the season started? Did you expect a play off place?

As someone said on the phone in, if we achieve 5th under Pearson it isn't good enough, if we achieve 5th under a different manager, it's a great job.

F**king love that chant. Campness of the highest order. And we know it. Pure fun when looking at the stony faces in the opposition stands.

We beat Arsenal 2-1 that day. After spending most of our 100 year history at the a*se end of the league. If you can't enjoy yourself then, when can you?

The aim the club/manager/players set this season was automatic promotion so we are underachieving are we not?

That was the objective was it, and when was that published? Never read that before.

I was asking about his personal expectation though, prior to the season starting. I for one would have taken a play off place, I still would. Just because we looked like the second best team in the division during January, I didn't change my expectations. Poor run of form, but we're still 5th, and I'm currently happy with that position considering the strength of the division. We just need to sort our form out.

I bet some of our fans wouldn't.

I expected us to be up and around about there. All we heard from the management/players was that auto promotion was the aim.

I'd have been more than happy with a playoff spot at the start of the season but we've had a cracking opportunity to skip all the bollocks out and we've royally ****ed it up.

So am I happy with a playoff spot now? No not really!

Fair play for admitting it, but as I said, my expectations never changed throughout the season so (challenging for) automatic for me was/is a real bonus!

WOW.

Connor Wickham's 70th-minute goal against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday came at the same stadium, and in the same minute, as his last npower Championship goal, against Leicester on May 7th 2011 for Ipswich Town.

You could see it though, on here, after winning at Arsenal:

"Not enough people stood", "Same song too often", "Pearson didn't smile enough".

Well that's our season over then , seriously based on the last three games our basic game has fallen apart - and with injuries and bloody stupid suspensions we're going in bare bones into the game against the Pikeys on Sunday.

I don't doubt for a second they'll be straight back down.

Their brand of football may be effective in the Championship, but they'll be taken to the cleaners on a weekly basis by Premiership sides. I rate Reading, whose style is similar, far more highly than Cardiff and they look certainties to come down.

None of the promoted sides will do well without serious overhauls of either squad or style.

Cardiff need to be more expansive, Watford are relying on a lot of loans which may not all happen again, Palace are poor away, Hull are not too eloborate in style, we are too inconsistent and not good enough away, Forest are average but on a good run, Boro lose far too many and Brighton seem to be very soft away from home.

There is no Newcastle, WBA, Norwich or Swansea in this league, where you think they will go up and be fine in the first season.

True, this years teams for promotion seem really poor. On the flip side there arnt many awful teams in this division and some big names could get relegated.

I still can't understand how long ball Cardiff are top by 5 points... they're not even a top 6 side imo.

Its really frustrating how they've managed to go 4 points clear playing dire football.

We battered them twice and they've managed to get 4 points out of us.
