Waggy is still in his early 20's, he hasn't turned bad overnight and he certainly can't be judged on not taking amazing corners. Most of us remember the fact he's only 22, was our stand out player at the age of 19, loves our fans. Gives 100% and most certainly deserves another chance after his terrible injury. Yes, Leeds was his first game back for us, and guess what. He scored and people were happy for him, and themselves. He has serious potential and i'm sure he'll show that again, hopefully this season. He was sort of OK a couple of years ago - but not good enough then - how anyone can evaluate his current ability is quite frankly beyond me. tomtom Posted 4 July 2012 Share Posted 4 July 2012 I've no love in for any city player i just know that 2 years ago waghorn proved at 19 years old he was good enough to play for a team in the top 6 of the championship and be one of their better players too,.... He's since been out with a bad injury but there is no evidence to say he can't or won't get back to that level again with a full pre season under his belt playing for the same team and manager !! Back in the day I almost shed a tear the day Heskey, Lennon, Walsh and the like left. Nowadays I see players as just cogs in a machine, and if a better cog comes along then replace them, end of. I don't know whether this is because I am older and not so likely to get attached to players or whether it's because no player recently has floated my boat.
