CosbehFox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Player not happy at not playing shocker... exactly why Pearson said we need to reduce numbers. And let's not forgot he chose to sign an extra year under Sven. Despite us at the time wanting a striker
wellyfox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 I am sure steve would have a pint in the players lounge after a game with NP and sure NP would be happy to do that. Not being happy at not playing is a common thing and I am happy steve felt that way. On the other hand mills has no chance of a pint with NP. How anyone could liken the situation of the two players is beyond me. All the best steve as for millsy no comment.
Bettsj2 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 No need to be such a twat is there really? Pretty much all he's said is he wanted to be either playing or go out on loan so he could play - more a stance that should be applauded, rather than being happy to just get paid for sitting on the bench or in the reserves. Twat? Sorry, am I supposed to bumsuck 'Big Frankie' for being a spoilt prat? I respected him as a pro before as I said, but this is sour grapes for no good reason. Its not like he's in his prime and we've wasted a year of his career is it? A model pro wouldn't air his dirty laundry in public.
CosbehFox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 A model pro when given a chance wouldn't get sent off!
Bettsj2 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 A model pro when given a chance wouldn't get sent off! THIS Completely ridiculous.
Langley Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Not seen any interviews with mills, what did he have to say? Nout of any interest tbf.
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Nout of any interest tbf. Cheers. I was starting to wonder if I'd missed an enlightening interview with him.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Not seen any interviews with mills, what did he have to say? Just that he asked Nige what he done wrong then got put in youth training, but there was obviously something that happened.
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 July 2012 Posted 16 July 2012 Definitely. You don't get put in with the youth for nothing. I don't buy this Pearson can't handle big name players rubbish. I think it's a case of he wants his team pulling as one in the same direction, working hard and contributing to the squad in a positive way. Anyone not working to this end is moved on.

It's here if you fancy a listen... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18743061#asset As others have said, there's not that much interesting in it, but he does claim he couldn't speak to Pearson because he couldn't find him, and the reason he refused to go out on loan was out of respect for the fans.
cardifflee Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 anyone really care? i dont glad to see the back of howard
Albert Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 That interview was to put the story to bed and forget the whole matter. I know for a fact that there was an 'altercation' between Pearson and Millsy after the Watford game. You don't get many chances with Pearson and because of his big wage, the clash of personalities and the fact that he wasn't the most liked player in the squad he was always gonna be a dead man walking
kingfox Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Fook both of them, they were both shite. Mills was just a massive tosser from his first couple of months to his departure. Howard has been just shit for years. Who cares if they left on bad terms, best thing is that they aren't are players anymore, so we don't have to see rubbish performances from them ever again in a Leicester shirt.
Dan Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Sven had no choice re Howard & Oakley as they both had extra year options on their previous contract, I'd be amazed if Howard didn't know that if he took it up under Sven's management he wasn't going to get many games so if he was that bothered he should have declined the extra year but that would have meant a new club probably on less money. Fair comments there, Howard surely wasn't that deluded.

Actually thought there was some interesting bits in that, From Club captain, to being told you can leave in a week... theres obviously more than we are being told, also Mills mentioned that the other lads were coming to him and that may have upset NP..again, there is a lot more to that comment. yes hes gone, yes his time a City was a failure, but im still interested in what he has to say, because many of the other people involved in a strange series of event are still at the club.
Guest bss9401 Posted 17 July 2012 Posted 17 July 2012 Sounds to me like he is justifying himself when considering "why have I come to Hartlepool?" He did well for us in league one but he was never more than a bench warming target man since.

beryllind Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 In respect of the Topic. Does it matter, it might have been if they had been exceptional players.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 I don't think Pearson likes people who have a mind of their own. Probably wishes he had one of his own.
