Vacamion Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 He's only got one foot but he knows what he is doing with it...
MC Prussian Posted 25 May 2013 Author Posted 25 May 2013 Dortmund have no one else to blame but themselves. The second half performance was toothless, tame and plastered with individual defensive errors. Needless to say, Hummels again badly positioned. All in all, I'm just glad this doesn't go into extra time.
MooseBreath Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Don't know if it's all the play acting, the lack of flair, the hipster manager, the generally average quality of the football, or just Franck Ribery, but this game has felt quite ugly. German football, no thanks Jeff.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 I've been far more entertained than I ever have been watching boring boring barcelona

whoareyaaa Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Harsh way to lose it in the last minute but im not complaining!!

Corky Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 How the fcuk can you be an international player and be so one footed?! No professional footballer should be one-footed. They should grow up learning to play competently with both feet, they have enough time in the day now to practice and strengthen their weaker foot. Anyway, Robben's strong foot did the business twice tonight.
Corky Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 I don't know if they mentioned it in the build-up to the game, but Paul Lambert played for Dortmund.
Kitchandro Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 The second half was very entertaining. It was a bit of a shame it didn't go to extra time, bit of a shit goal to win it on as well. Dortmund's defending was dodgy throughout but you can't help looking back and thinking Bayern should have been down to 9 men.
broughtonblue Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Apparently London was taken over by Germans tonight, 70 years after their last attempt!!!
theessexfox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Apparently London was taken over by Germans tonight, 70 years after their last attempt!!! Seen this on Twitter multiple times tonight, might be funnier if Germany attempted to invade us.
ScouseFox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Thoughts were that it was a great game. Two keepers in fine form kept it to 2-1, could've been 4-3 if they weren't (or if Robben had his shooting boot on). Bayern's first was a terrific goal, the winner was great play from Robben busting a gut to beat 3 Dortmund defenders to it, taking it to one side of the keeper and cooly flicking it past him to the other. Enjoyed that a lot. Better than last year's final for sure. Bayern should dominate football for a few years now. Unbelievable team coming up next year.

StanSP Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Why does everything have to relate and be compared to 'boring boring Barcelona'?! Just appreciate the 2 teams that were on show tonight and the fact they served up a fairly entertaining final! Congrats to Bayern, but I feel more sorrow and sympathy for Dortmund. I thought they played better overall.
ScouseFox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Thought last year final was much better to be fair. Really? Each to their own I guess! Last year was woefully boring until Muller scored in the last 5 or so minutes. Loads of drama after that like, but for general play, chances, excitement and skill this year won hands down if you're asking me.
Father Ted Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Very impressed with Gundogan, certainly a long term replacement for Schweinsteiger in the Germany set up. Years of German domination to begin I sense.

Yes I agree football wise it was a lot better this year, but drama wise last years was brilliant.
kingfox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Good final in my opinion, could of been something like 4-4. Neuer and Weidenfeller are absolute quality, people bang on about Joe Hart being the best in the World, what a load of shit, the two goalkeepers tonight are head and shoulders above Hart. Got a bit open and scrappy towards the end, even though the goal came late, but apart from that very good football from both teams, with both goalkeepers on top form. Good to see Robben getting the winner as well, always tried to be him at School.
