Ashley Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 It's my little sisters fifth birthday on Monday and she is a massive Leicester fan(no choice really in the household and family she's been brought up in) How would I go about getting her name read out before the game/at half time and for it to come up on the screens? Thanks for the help Edit: This is for Saturday by the way.
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Pretty sure you can do this by emailing the club, not totally sure though. Probably some information on the OS.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 According to my mate it's £15-£20 to get it done, i really couldn't believe it though? Surely it's free...

Clarkielcfc Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Pretty sure there is some sort of amount you have to pay, last I heard was a tenner!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Shows how much things have changed. 15 years ago one of my lads was mascot v Man U at home, we got 4 free tickets and a Kit, a trip around the changing room. We had just signed Peggy and Fenton was laughing his head off because he couldn't speak a word of English, Peggy just sat there smiling as my lad tried to talk to him. All this for being in the Foxes ( Jr membership) which didn't cost much.
fleckneymike Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 You have to pay. The cost of being a match day mascot at some clubs is frightening.
AKCJ Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I remember when my younger brother won his football U16 league about 4/5 years ago and he won the league in the morning and Leicester played in the afternoon and they wouldnt call it out because they needed a weeks notice!
Carter The Boss Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I did it for a mate last season and it was about £10 I think. Just email the club
bluesbrothers Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I would happily pay money to get the tannoy announcer bloke to read a birthday message involving some Thai and/or SE Asian surnames. "Happy 25th Birthday to Thaskin Gangaikondakanchipuram, from your friend Vichai Chulalongkorn Ramathibodi who is visiting from his summer home in Sri Jayawardenpura-Kotte in Sri Lanka!" Disclaimer - These are both real Thai Surnames, and Sri Jayawardenpura-Kotte is the parliament capital of Sri Lanka.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 My dad paid £15 for my sister once and they didn't even read it out!!! Woeful. Agree with what someone said about Filbert St. as well. It was brilliant back then.
Larry_LCFC Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Its something like £10 for a shoutout and another £10 for the big screen. Its disgusting. I didnt bother in the end.
Carter The Boss Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 When I did mine my mate was on the crapper and so missed the whole thing. I suggest not bothering
kingfox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 What is £10-£15 nothing. You guys buy the Leicester shirts for £40, and you wouldn't pay £10 for a family member to get a birthday shout out or message. Just do it Ashley regardless if it's £10-£15 poxy pounds, at least it will make her day and hopefully the game will be good. Moaners

yorkie1999 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 You could change her name to Thiscorneris Sponseredbykingpower..
sg6 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 I'm sure my mate just walked up to the guy who does the announcing in one of the boxes and showed him my name and and age for my b/day on a bit of paper and he read it out last year. Didn't get put on the screens though. Can't get everything for free! Haha
Guest MattP Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 £10 to get someone to say Happy Birthday lol ffs What is £10-£15 nothing. Moaners You must have low standards of "a day to remember" if a shoutout from a tannoy can achieve it.

I also said the match as a whole aswell, party at home maybe, call out from the tannoy and a Leicester win, what is there not to like about that for a 5 year old?

Probably won't even hear it, sure you could bribe Filbert a fiver to turn up and sing Happy Birthday in person on his wage. Though if I could pay a tenner on top for a win every week I'd happily do it.
