jonthefox Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Seriously cannot believe they are this bad. Better that you'd hoped eh?.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Coventry 1 - 2 Carlisle That's how it's ended
Father Ted Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 They're a dying club. I'm glad. ******. They'll be playing local rivalries against Nuneaton and Hinckley before they play us again.
Matt Posted 22 September 2012 Author Posted 22 September 2012 Hmmmm i'm in two minds, I hate Cov, with a passion - Don't really know why, I mean there is nothing to be jealous off (Absoloutely nothing), they don't have many fans, I really don't know why I hate them, I know a couple of Cov fans (Probably the only Cov fans :giggle) who are actually decent lads apart from supporting Cov (Mind you they are probably decent because they're hardly in a position to take the piss are they?). Everyone wants to see their rivals doing bad, but I want have the rivalry there. Saying that I wouldn't mind them playing Nuneaton or Hinckley, Basically i'd still have the rivalry there just not at Leicester's level - Far from it
Corky Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Better that you'd hoped eh?. I thought they'd do ok, probably in the top half now. Not without a win and five straight defeats. League 1 goes one of two ways for teams who go down. In our first 8 games, we picked up 19 points and were top, they have 3 and are virtually bottom. Incredible really.
Matt Posted 22 September 2012 Author Posted 22 September 2012 I didn't bother betting on Coventry being relegated last season because I thought 2/1 was took stingy - 2/1 didn't look to stingy when they were actually relegated, should have lumped on but I was too greedy - Gutted. This season no-one apart from Bet Victor would take a bet on Coventry being relegated, seeing at Bet Victor is online and I had 2 online accounts as it is I didn't want to open another account, it was about 16/1 I think, gutted because it's looking quite likely even at this early stage. Just looked at Oddschecker now for odds and Bet Victor isn't doing a relegation market for League One now either, its 1/100 on Betfair though if anyone fancies it?
Fox92 Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Nah, I'm not happy to see any big club fall. Coventry fans gave us stick and everything, but it's another game I'd miss going too. Can't believe how bad that club is at the minute.
Kitchandro Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 We won't be going there for a good few years whether they go down or not. it was a rivalry when we were playing each other and we struggled to beat them and they were giving us stick, but right now it's just not, they may as well not exist.

Can't believe how bad that club is at the minute. Same here. I've got a few Cov mates and at first it was funny but they're so bad it's not even fun taking the piss any more because they just agree.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Same here. Same here Cov are a bit like annoying family, can't stand living with 'em, yet... Wouldn't want to live without 'em.

Guest Bilo Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Thats ok then. As they are not a big club. Maybe they aren't, but nobody wants to see a club go under. They have honest, decent fans just as we do as well as a community that depends on them. Not to mention hundreds of staff and local businesses that need them for employment.

True, but i'd like to see them in the conference.
Father Ted Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 True, but i'd like to see them in the conference. I for one wouldn't miss them. The Ricoh is a shite hole, they have no fans and there is less rivalry there than we have between Forest and Derby.
Corky Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Anyone see on the FLS that Robins wanted Mr Blue Sky replaced as the walk-on music by Chelsea Dagger!?
jonthefox Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 Looks like the fans have given up. http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/21216-Diabolical-city-..-Ccfc-is-dead-Thats-me-finished
accessory Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 They've already lost more league games than we did in the whole of 2008-09! But Robins should do enough to stop them sliding into League 2. Edit - just picked up this priceless quote from that thread on Sky Blues Talk When the stadium is full it's like anywhere else, great to be there If you enjoy rock gigs that is. Seven years after they moved in, Cov have still to fill the Ricoh, and don't look like doing so any time soon.
Corky Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 Looks like the fans have given up. http://www.skybluest...ats-me-finished There have been several threads like that. I doubt they actually act on what they say.
