SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Fine - let the stadium owners find someone else to pay them £100,000 per month. If I ran Cov then I'd happily relocate to a parks pitch rather than be held to ransom. Not as easy as that, they would most likely have a lease agreement that could still have 10 years to run on it. The Richo could then turn around and sue them for the full 10 years worth of rent in a damages claim, royally fooking up Cov.
Finnegan Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I'm confused, did Roo just make a sensible post?
Guest Bilo Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I'm confused, did Roo just make a sensible post? I've just spent a good couple of minutes looking for a pun that leads inevitably to Dutch rudders, but I haven't found one yet.
rico Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 can't pay the rent, yet still looking at getting players in? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11719/8007374/Coventry-chase-Forest-striker
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I imagine the emergency option would be something like the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. Closest facility with a half reasonable capacity of about 12,500. Is that the atheletic ground you can see from the M6 near the m42 junction?
Corky Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 can't pay the rent, yet still looking at getting players in? http://www1.skysport...-Forest-striker Priorities need to be sorted, and having a ground to play in should be number one, not spending more money on players.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Is that the atheletic ground you can see from the M6 near the m42 junction? I believe it is. They've just had a new stand built as well, so it's a decent little athletics stadium.
Daggers Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Not as easy as that, they would most likely have a lease agreement that could still have 10 years to run on it. The Richo could then turn around and sue them for the full 10 years worth of rent in a damages claim, royally fooking up Cov. They could go for a CVA or administration, ...or a good stiff ruddering.
I am Rod Hull Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I believe it is. They've just had a new stand built as well, so it's a decent little athletics stadium. Thats too big...
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 No it's already theirs - the fans are at the right of the picture, standing
Daggers Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I've found a pitch for them And a choice of two main stands
jonthefox Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 12k at the pit tonight. Thats hardly enough to pay the rent
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 I'm confused, did Roo just make a sensible post? I've just spent a good couple of minutes looking for a pun that leads inevitably to Dutch rudders, but I haven't found one yet. You're allowed to make one ever 12,000 or so posts. Well if the owners do get paid that is a lot of trips to Amsterdam
Corky Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 5k tonight to see them beat Burton on penalties. Home to Stevenage on Sunday, live on Sky. Four figure crowd anyone?
Jimothy Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 5k tonight to see them beat Burton on penalties. Home to Stevenage on Sunday, live on Sky. Four figure crowd anyone? 2k
Soar Fox Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 5k tonight to see them beat Burton on penalties. Home to Stevenage on Sunday, live on Sky. Four figure crowd anyone? Least they could beat Burton....
Corky Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Least they could beat Burton.... They could. Shame they can't win a league game.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 Considering they only got 10,500 for their first home game of the season that kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday, a Sky match against Stevenage is likely to be four figures. 9,000 would be a good turnout. The real test will be mid-winter evening games, they could go as low as the levels seen this evening if they're still struggling. You can see why they want to reduce rent payments on the Ricoh, they must be haemorrhaging money as things stand.
Father Ted Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 I will piss myself laughing the day they get sub-8k. Small time club.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 September 2012 Posted 4 September 2012 quite a few fans have gave up on them over the years, not surprisingly really been away from the premier league for eleven years, no sign of attempt to get back there. No money, no ambition, crap squad, no manager, stadium miles out of cov, quite deer, rubbish atmosphere. Doesn't look great for cov at all. I knew bloke who used to supports them, but eventually said the words "don't like them anymore, follow rugby now" Only one more thing to say "GOING BUST, GOING BUST"
Fox92 Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 Only one more thing to say "GOING BUST, GOING BUST" Hopefully this doesn't happen. I can see why Coventry fans are fed up, they've basically done nothing since their relegation, apart from being relegated again. Although they laughed at our relegation, including a few youtube videos (), I'd like to see them back, as I would Leicester (obviously), Derby, Nottingham Forest, Leeds etc.. Nobody has a right to play in the Premier League, but it's sometimes sad reflecting on a club that has just fell, and keeps falling.
