ScouseFox Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 We're playing really badly and winning. What Michael Carrick brings to this team is way, way beyond me.
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Rooney has been awful, how may times has he given the ball away?!
Rincewind Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Thought they said it was 5pm our time? Just turned it on and its nearly half time.
Haydos Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 But surely 20,000 fans amking noise would still generate an atmopshere, how many fans who go to wembley try and make an atmosphere....certainly not close to 20,000. Not spread out in a stadium as big as Wembley
Corky Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Not a great performance, but it's not easy on this pitch. However the ball retention has been poor.
purpleronnie Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Not spread out in a stadium as big as Wembley If 20,000 wanted to make an atmopshere at wembley you'd hear it, unfortunately the games there are usually silent.
MooseBreath Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 If 20,000 wanted to make an atmopshere at wembley you'd hear it, unfortunately the games there are usually silent. Why do you think it is so quiet? Design of the stadium or what? Did you go to old Wembley? How do they compare iyo
purpleronnie Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Why do you think it is so quiet? Design of the stadium or what? Did you go to old Wembley? How do they compare iyo I dont think its the design as there has been good atmopsheres at wembley just not for england games. I just think its to do with a lack of fans wanting to create an atmopshere, it seems most who go just aren't intersted. I went to the old wembley many times but not to see england so not sure if it was any better.
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 I'm impressed with the defensive side of cleverley's game
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Jesus Christ we're playing badly Really badly. Would be very surprised if Poland don't score
Corky Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Jesus Christ we're playing badly Take the points and move on. Nothing special but the win is all that matters.
ScouseFox Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Poor Jermaine Defoe. Take the points and move on. Nothing special but the win is all that matters. That'd be fantastic but we need to make the points secure first. Sitting on 0-1 away from home when the defence looks as shaky as ours does is not a good plan.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Who the hell decided it was a good idea to sit so deep second half?! They didn't create anything clear cut in the first and at least we carried a moderate threat.
Guest MattP Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 I went to the old wembley many times but not to see england so not sure if it was any better. England Germany was pretty good.
AKCJ Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 HAve they got the roof on now or has it just stopped raining?
ScouseFox Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 Oooh Defoe should probably score. Would've been game over then.
marko Posted 17 October 2012 Posted 17 October 2012 HAve they got the roof on now or has it just stopped raining? Both!
