Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 That was a shocking tackle by Whelan. Kilbane's exercising his right to understatement quite wonderfully: If Howard Webb sees Glenn Whelan's tackle then there's a possibility of a red card. He jumped in, landed on top of Javi Garcia with two feet and was a little bit late
marko Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Kilbane's exercising his right to understatement quite wonderfully: A bit late?! Blimey, it was that late it was nearly in the replay!
Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 If you look at the BBC live text you can see Kilbane talk about nothing but Stoke, quite odd how much of a hard on he has for them.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 why the **** are they showing what was always going to be a dour game?
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 why the **** are they showing what was always going to be a dour game? Because it's a big team. Man Utd will have their 38th consecutive FA Cup game televised on ESPN later. Whilst we all miss watching Macclesfield dump out Wigan. You'd have thought ITV/ESPN would have learnt something from Bradford's League Cup run this year. Minnows versus big teams is where the interest is in cup football, I can watch games like Stoke v Man City every week on Sky (or in the pub if you don't have Sky).
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Utd aint even on ITV is it ? Ooops sorry it's on ESPN. I'll edit it. Point still stands though.
whoareyaaa Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Ooops sorry it's on ESPN. I'll edit it. Point still stands though. Yeah agreed this game has been shit, much better to choose from.
Super_horns Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 QPR lol Will Redknapp care though? He'll use it as an excuse to spend zillions in the coming week. Mind you might not do much for confidence. Sounds like Arsenal and Everton are being given good games. At least the games on TV tomorrow are more reasonable.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Will Redknapp care though? Probably wouldn't care about losing, but as a "Premiership side" losing 4-0 to a League 1 side is beyond embarrassing.
ScouseFox Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 I'd have said if it was a boring 0-1 or something he'd be not too fussed to just move on and focus on safety, but they've been properly humiliated at home by a team 2 divisions below. Fans aren't happy either apparently.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Gooners 3-2 up at Brighton now. They've been wobbly this season to put it mildly.
Super_horns Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Could Luton be the first team from the non-league to knock a Prem side out since 1989?
purpleronnie Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Luton win, norwich should of had a pen in the last few seconds.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Could Luton be the first team from the non-league to knock a Prem side out since 1989? Yes, yes they could (are). QPR 2-4 now. Far too little, far too late.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Don't know what sort of side Norwich put out, but that's a fantastic result for Luton. Love a good cup shock.
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Don't know what sort of side Norwich put out, but that's a fantastic result for Luton. Love a good cup shock. Not terrible. Left some out but still should have been enough to go through. Norwich City 13 Rudd 02 R Martin 18 Garrido 20 Barnett 24 R Bennett 08 Howson 11 Surman (Hoolahan - 72' ) 15 Fox 17 E Bennett (Pilkington - 73' ) 10 Jackson 37 Kane (Holt - 46' )
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 How many tickets did Luton get? The reporter from the ground mentioned over 4,000. They're clearly not high risk.
purpleronnie Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 By the look of stewards and police around them they certainly seemed it.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 Just shows how stupid the decision was last season doesn't it? Luton don't exactly have a family friendly rep on the road, yet were deemed safe enough to give nigh on double the allocation we were trusted with. We could have taken silly numbers if we'd been allowed to.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 26 January 2013 Posted 26 January 2013 I think the only reason we even conceded the goals at the end was because we switched off knowing we'd won. QPR did not threaten at all second half and if we could've scored every time we came forwards. Embarrassing for them, fantastic for us.
