Clattenburg In Trouble

Recommended Posts

Let's not forget that Chelsea are committed to stamping out racism in all forms, so their strong response to the issue should come as a surprise to nobody.

Everybody knows that Clattenburg is a tosspiece of the highest order. Will never forget that Villa game.

He just has one of those faces that you would love to see a pitbull gnawing away at.

Who on 5 live said it was racist? That ridiculous. Clattenburg might be a useless ref, but he's been one for a long time, he knows the score, even if he did hold racist beliefs he hardly going to start blurting out racist slurs in the biggest premier league game of the season thus far.

Fair enough it's hypocritical, but this makes a massive mockery of the FA's respect campaign if true.

Pot and kettle if it's swearing.

The Telegraph tweeted that it was racial abuse but the tweet was pulled.

So the grapes have gone sour in West London.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Chelsea players said far worse to Clattenburg.

If it's just swearing then I don't blame him for responding, possibly like-for-like. There's only so much you can take before you snap back with something similar.

Any clues as to who the players complaining are?

Just been having a twitter arguement with a Chelsea news account, who'd tweeted it was racist abuse. The only evidence it's racist is that telegraph tweet every other news agency is stating inappropriate language, and I kind of feel sorry for Clattenburg that its all over twitter that race was involved. Shit sticks and thousands have now tweeted it was racist, Clattenburg will find it hard to shake that tag now. Had the arguement because I really don't think anyone should be tweeting he's racist without backup, especially a clubs news account.

Can't see it being language involving race... would've definitely been a more hostile response from the Chelsea players involved, especially considering he's the referee... no way would they just continue on with the match as normal!

Probably just swearing... must've took abuse during the match (rightfully, he was shit), so probably just responding back... You can understand as a human, but as a referee and PL official, he's probably got to attempt to refrain himself from being 'unprofessional' in that way.

If anything comes of it I think Phil Dowd would be looking for a new career pronto lol He always swears at / with players

Hopefully that will be the case anyway.

Good Clattenburg deserves it after today.

Spoilt another game of football and was bias towards Man Utd again.

Bollox

Torres went down too easily second yellow. Ivanovic last man. Not his fault lino didnt give offside

Some people need to get their laughable hate for man u out the way before judging.

And if the complaint is over swearing and nothing else its worse as he got the decisions right

Course Ivanovic was last man at it was a red card. You see players knock the ball past players like Torres did week in week out, go down and get a free kick, plus they all go down too easily as well, but there was contact whether Torres went down easily or not, it wasn't a dive.

While all these offside goals and not offside goals are a joke, linesmen should get it right, 70% chance out of 100% that when standing in the goal, Hernandez was never gonna get back onside and that was the case, yet the linesman gives a goal when his body is miles offside.

It happened in Liverpool v Everton today, really dislike Liverpool and hate Suarez but that decision was a massive joke.

Too many refs and linesmen spoil big games in my opinion, and it's getting beyond a joke.
