lcfcsnow Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 I think Waghorn and Vardy's link up play is actually much, much better than Nugent's and they're a big part of the reason he's scored so many goals this season. Err, Vardy's first touch is worse than Beckfords so how is his link up play better when half the time he receives the ball he loses it? I'm sure he's only getting away with it due to his workrate.

I'm sure he's only getting away with it due to his workrate. I mearely said his link up play was better than Nugent's, who doesn't link up at all. I disagree with the comments about Vardy's first touch too, it's not perfect, but to say he loses the ball every single time he gets it is ridiculous. Waggy's link up play is far and away the best out of all three, Vardy does a half decent job of linking midfield and attack, but Nugent doesn't do anything in that regard. Although to be fair to Nugent, that's not his game and you only need one striker to do it really, I'm sure the management are happy enough that's he getting in the right positions and getting the goals.
Lasty Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Really looking forward to this, the match and whole day in general. However, I've got a nasty feeling City will turn in one of those non-performances that tend to occur whenever we take a big following or build a day up. Would love to be eating humble pie tomorrow evening.
GingerrrFox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 More Importantly no beers at the game after kick off. What will I do to either A) Celebrate a soon victory, B) Drown my sorrows on an upcoming loss or C) Anaesthetise myself from the pain of boring football.

ealingfox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Few questions for the floor: How many are we taking for this? Schlupp or Konchesky tomorrow? Don't feel like Schlupp deserves to be dropped myself. Will we turn up?
Happy Fox Posted 23 November 2012 Author Posted 23 November 2012 Few questions for the floor: How many are we taking for this? 3,500-4,000 Schlupp or Konchesky tomorrow? Don't feel like Schlupp deserves to be dropped myself. Schlupp Will we turn up? You betcha
Fox in exile Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 I think we are going to have a big win...4-0 and goals from Waggy and Dyer....would love to see Knockhart get a couple as well. Come on Leicester x
ealingfox Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Is it sold out? Was 3500 our maximum allocation?
Lobsterboyuk Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Was 3500 our maximum allocation? Was 3500 our maximum allocation? According to OS handful of tickets available tomorrow, just under 3500 sold http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/231112-more-sheff-wed-tickets-available-504342.aspx
Tommy G Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Would like to see Waggy and Schlupp up top. Once again Vardy did sweet FA on sat apart from run a lot, which I'm sure the majority of us would do if we got a chance to play football. He has the worst touch of a striker I've ever seen at the club. Beckford scored 16 was it last season, lets see how Vardy compares to that....not looking good so far

You really are giving the lad a chance aren't you! I think he brings a lot to the team including assists.

Waggy and Vardy up top - given how good Waggy's hold up play has gotten, it's unfair to say they're too similar. Vardy could score a hatful playing off Waggy, especially since the latter's delivery has improved too.

Vardy has a better goals per game ration than Beckford, and contributes so much more to the team, why do we have to always have a fvcking scapegoat, why can't we actually be happy that we have options and depth and that we are not going to have perfect players, not even Man City have perfect players that don't have weaknesses. We have some seriously dumb fans. :frusty: :frusty: :frusty:
LeicesterOwl Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Team I would like to see Kasper De Laet Morgan Whitbread Schlupp Knockaert Drinkwater King Dyer Waghorn Vardy Subs: Marshall, Moore,Keane, Futacs, James,Lingard and Nugent Prediction 3-1 Win , goals from Dyer, Marshall and Vardy. A very hard game though truth be told we could thrash them as they have Joe Mattock at LB their goalkeeper is injury prone Kirkland. Kirkland is brilliant but mattock doesnt play, i think the too new lads will get into the team. if you stop our wingers and play on the wings you could have back to back 6-0's

Bugg Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 Kirkland is brilliant he was absolutely dreadful for us a couple of seasons ago!
LeicesterOwl Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 he was absolutely dreadful for us a couple of seasons ago! hes a brilliant shopstopper but overall game isnt the best but having said that were missing two of our best defenders and we just cant cope at the back
Kitchandro Posted 23 November 2012 Posted 23 November 2012 he was absolutely dreadful for us a couple of seasons ago! He looked injured when he was playing for us, like he could barely move. He did actually pick an injury up before his debut didn't he? I used to think he was a quality goalkeeper but injuries have screwed him up, it's like he's playing with them over half the time.

I do remember at Millwall away, he let in 2 or 3 abysmal goals, then went off injured with a bad back Then again the whole team was shocking and Roman Bednar overshadowed everyone else's bad games with a truly pathetic performance!
