FA Cup Third Round - Leicester v Burton

Don't get why people think this is a shit draw?

Personally I'm happy to draw the lowest possible opposition available in each round. Surely that gives us the best chance of progressing rather than having to overcome one of the best teams in the country each time?

The odds are you will meet a big side eventually. I would rather that be in a semi or final than the third round. Am I missing something?

If I was Nigel, I would use the exact squad we sent out last time. This would allow the players to have an opportunity to give a better performance.

Thankfully you're not Nigel.

sort of off topic but was anyone watching the alfreton town game? they got the seats for their stadium from other grounds, when demolished etc, some from filbert street :) (sorry if old news to most ;) )

I think this is the best draw that we could have gotten! It's a side that is low down so we should beat them and we have the extra motivation for revenge. Pleased it's at home as well wish I could go to this one!

What are the Burton fans saying about this?

Disappointed really - I don't think many will bother making the trip as it's a case of 'been there, done that' .

Does crack me up some of the Chemical Ali style self-delusion on here as if you put some sort of youth team out against us last time. 'Let's put a proper side out this time'. 'Should win easily if we put out a proper side'.

Schmeichel, Whitbread, Konchesky, Knockaert, Wahgorn etc....... all started the game!!

Yes you'll probably do us this time, but 'last laugh' as one of you said? Don't think so. We'll laugh about our victory at the King Power earlier in the season for years to come, even if you stick ten past us in January.

Rubbish draw all round. We wanted a big tie away from home and we got Leicester. Very disappointing.

Peterborough would be a big tie for a club like Burton, you should be delighted with us.

It wasn't our strongest side out last time but it was definitely one that should've won that by a good 2+ goals, not lose by that many.

Think we'll crush them personally. I feel a div as I said that last time but there's surely, surely no way we can get knocked out of both cups at home by Burton.

Comic gold

Not sure why we should be delighted. Played you already this season and won comfortably. A wet day out in Leicester is not a good way to welcome in a new year.

No, but a wet day out in York probably will be.

Cheer the **** up.

A bit of honesty for once - fair play.

The side you had out was certainly a decent Championship side. Plenty of the players who ran rings round Derby at the weekend were playing.

It's a no lose situation for us.

You've got a point. York is a lovely place!

You deserved to win that game, but it was Whitbread's first game for a while and Waghorn had no form whatsoever.

You wanted a big tie? Oh well.
