Cardiff Fan Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 Afternoon foxes, Myself and my mate are bringing three kids (all girls aged 13 - 11) to the game on the 22nd. Where is the best place to park and avoid any hassle? By they way, my money is on us and you to take the top two spots. Wood will be a good signing for you. Apparently we are splashing some cash in January as well and I don't see Palarse lasting the pace.
Bert Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 There's a rowing club that's just around the corner from the ground which I think is £5 and you'll not get any hassle. Just across the road there is a cricket club which has parking as well.

Finnegan Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 A fair few away fans park on the streets near my house. Bung Stuart Street Leicester LE3 in to Google maps. About ten minute walk from the ground and you shouldn't get any trouble, especially if you're turning up fairly early. It's mostly main roads and lots of football fans around, pretty safe. Time it right and I'll even give you an escort down and we can rant together about Chris Coleman's shit regime.
deep blue Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 I use the Saffron Lane sports centre; £5, never any problem with it, 15-20 mins walk to ground. Directions are tricky cos no postcode seems to work. Best thing I find is to get a large scale map of Saffron Lane on Google maps, follow down it towards Aylestone Rd. A hundred yards or so from the end there is a railway bridge over the road. The sports centre parking is just before the bridge, on the right hand side. Be careful not to confuse with another sports centre which occurs halfway down Saffron Lane at its junction with Knighton Lane East.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 The rowing club is off upperton rd near eastern boulevard and watkin rd. 5 quid 5min walk to the ground thoufh you need to have parked by 2 else it may be full.
Deucalion Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 I park on the old Filbert Street site which is £5 and five minutes walk away from the ground. The only downside is you have to wait for the oppos coaches to leave before you can get off the car park afterwards and it is always a pain. As for trouble, there is rarely any trouble before or after games so unless you go looking for it, I doubt you will find it.
Munshi Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 How many fans you bringing? Want this to be brilliant.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 Aylestone Leisure Centre (LE2 6LU) is 10-15 mins walk away, and free to park. Its just around the corner from the Athletics Stadiu which charges £5. Get there for 2pm and there should be spaces. Gives you and your daughters plenty of time to get there Just walk up Saffron Lane to the ground or even easier, just follow the city fans.
lestajigs Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 Woman in the ticket office said tickets were selling well
Bluetintedspecs Posted 14 December 2012 Posted 14 December 2012 Oh I don't know, wherever you park you'll stand out in them red and white scarfs you'll be fine parking anywhere near ground in my opinion!
foxfanazer Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 There is an industrial est a couple if minutes down the road. Should be about £3. Hope you're right with your prediction
enex Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Park in Braunstone or New Parks you get courtesy bricks when removing your alloys for cleaning, a good service we have in Leicester
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 15 December 2012 Posted 15 December 2012 Keep all of your Cardiff football supporting stuff out of sight and park at the Odeon Cinema at Freemans Common for free!!! They will stop you to tell you that there is no football parking there but just tell them that you're going to the cinema and they'll let you straight through.
