Got to say this seems quite pathetic. Only now that you think you are going up, having succeeded where we failed in buying the league, you want to have your cake and eat it too. Where was this a few months back?

Also shout out to Top and Vichai for not trying to lay any of that rubbish down on LCFC, much appreciated!

Is that what you will say to make yourself feel better about the whole thing when you are queueing up at the Club Shop to get PL patches put on your Red shirt?

I've just got a gut instinct our Thai owners will be influenced by your change and would change something in our club. God hope not...

This was briefly referred to at the Fans Consultative Committee last week, and it was clearly stated that LCFC home shirts will remain blue (a reference was made to Cardiff, but the spirit of that conversion was we wouldn't do a Cardiff)

Lads trolling this thread please behave. As far as I am aware Cardiff City will always be the bluebirds I'll sign the petition I think it's disgusting what your owners have done. Good luck in getting your badge and kit turned back.

Ill sign it later. Can't say i like Cardiff at all, especially after the playoffs, but i sympathise enormously with whats happened at your club

This summarises my thoughts. Despise Cardiff in a footballing sense but I'd HATE to be in a similar position.

I sympathise with the fans and would be loathe for this to happen to the Foxes, but I must agree that they should be having away fixture with Bangor City this weekend rather than coming to Leicester.

The problem is, I could see most of our fans just accepting it and moving on with the 'start of a new era' bullsh*t. Maybe a little gathering of about 50 people (with flasks of course) out the KP. It'll be on the back of the Mercury with people saying how wrong it is, and within a couple of weeks...it'd all die down.

I agree sadly, I think our fanbase nowadays is made up of too many people who would put success on the pitch at all costs over club tradition & heritage. I'd be absolutely disgusted and would be part of any protest.

I fail to see the influence.

I thought the same until Cardiff's game with Huddersfield on the opening day. Sky showing pretty much only fans in red shirts, commentators explaining why it's a good thing etc... I didn't expect a lot else from those cvnts but I really was absolutely disgusted and this is about a club I can't stand even without this shambles.

The media did more bad than good.

Fair enough but do you think the malaysian give a **** whether I don't go when they get to the prem there will be a plastic fan to fill my place who pays ****ing £1.10 for a mars bar and a red shirt.

For what it's worth I'm with you that your kit shouldn't have changed, but it has. You're the redbirds now and there's nowt can be done about it. All the high and mighty fans here can go do one: We've massively benefited as a club from the Thais' takeover and have been fortunate that the only major cosmetic change brought about was the renaming from the Walkers to the KP.

I'm a little disappointed with how many of our fans don't care about Cardiff's transfer to red shirts, you may not like a club for whatever reason but you should have some respect for the loyal fans who have supported their team for years.

I know there are many "supporters" of Cardiff who have bought the red shirts but there are plenty who really cherish their club and I believe they're the ones whose opinions matter most, the real fans, the people that know what it is to support a football club.

Signed your petition, mate, good luck in your campaign. Hope you get part of your club back.

Since the leaked report about the rebrand the Cardiff supporter has gone through quite a few emotions. Unless your club has done the same thing I don't think any other supporter can judge what a Cardiff fan should do or not. Personally I feel if I was a supporter of another club I would be more concerned that a billionaire overseas investor could simple come into my club and basically do what they want. Now its happened at a club like Cardiff it could quite easily happen somewhere else.

Alot of "other club supporters" claim that they would walk away if the same happened to their club. Personally I feel they are talking bollocks as it is not that easy to walk away from something that is part of your life. Leicester have over 20,000 crowds, would say 15,000 walk away if the Thais decided to play in a colour like red.....I don't think so. It would be the only thing that would make the investor think again, a large majority of the fanbase leaving but that just would not happen. Demonstrations don't achieve much and rival organisations end up having to move away, ask Man U fans. Sadly the fan of today has no say in a club.

To be fair if Cardiff changed back to blue now red would now be part of their history, fans will want to change back to red as they were successful and top of the league in red. It’s a vicious circle. Bring back Fosse Gold

lol, not quite but yes I suppose red would be part ofour history all but briefly.

One of the most concerning things about the whole scenario is why red,there is no explanation for it what so ever except for the tqales its a vision.

Maybe if your fans didn't buy the shirt, renew season tickets, not go home game so attendances are that bad they might of changed back. It is a disgrace and whoever paid for the shirts and think it's a good idea just because you get more money are a disgrace.

Poor excuses. I think it's pretty easy to walk away when you're that insulted and disgusted. If you feel your club is no longer the same club why should you feel the same attachment to it?

Would you really feel the same pride if this went on forever? If you're playing in the Premiership in red, would it really mean anything?

I can't speak for the majority of Leicester fans and what they would choose to do, but if these people who are 'campaigning' don't even have the self-respect to walk away then you're not doing enough. Let the plastics replace you if they must. There's only so many of them. They won't stick around forever anyway. You can still have your own principles as an individual.

You know what I think? You're desperate to get to the Premiership, you've waited for it for so long, and you're so close. And that's why you're still going. You'd feel like you'd be missing out on a great season. You dreamed of it pre-season and now it's looking close to a reality.

Just remember though, the glory days won't last forever. And maybe it won't be all it's cracked up to be.

I think a few of us on here, myself included, are a little disappointed with how many of Cardiff's fans seemed to care about the change to red shirts. Now the money's safely in the bank they want their blue shirts back, well it doesn't really work like that does it?

If the OP had come on here during the summer, he would have gotten universal support and everyone would have signed the petition. It all smacks of wanting to have your cake and eat it too.

Actually there was quite a well-known explanation for why red, to improve the clubs appeal in the Far East where red is a symbolic/lucky colour, and the dragon on the badge for the same reason, although they actually got quite lucky there seeing as the dragon has significance in Wales too.
