Guest Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 He's got a lot of skill. It'll be good for him and he can come back to the City an even better player. That FIF guy knows his football.
Fox Ulike Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 That FIF guy knows his football. Not as much as this fella: If vardy started every game, we won't go up. Even pearson can understand that. Why do we have to keep giving players chanxe after chance even though they are shite? Like give 100% and thats good enough. He's quite clearly crap and a league 1 striker at best. Taxi for Sanchezzzzz... (hehe)
Haydos Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Vardy isn't good enough. Don't score enough and also takes about 5 extra touches. He'll end up in league 1 or 2. Don't get why people are saying he's better then waghorn. Waghorn is abetter all around player and adds a impact when playing or coming on. Vardy doesn't do that. Runs around like a headless chicken and adds no impact in attack. Rather amusing Guess this is why a lot of us should stick to FM.
foxfanazer Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Such a great turnaround for the lad. He wasn't as bad as some made him out to be last season but he has massively improved almost beyond recognition this season. Yes his goals have been a major boost but his all round workrate and energy have been a joy to watch. Hope he gets a crack at the prem if we go up

Hope he gets a crack at the prem if we go up Very true - I think too many people were harsh on him last season, he made a pretty impressive step up from the Conference I thought. This season though, it's ridiculous how much he's improved. Can't see how he won't be making regular starts next season if we're in the Premier League - he'd make a good partner for any striker we should bring in and although the opponents will generally be much more difficult to cut up, he'll still be effective for wearing defenders out and causing errors. He's a bloody nuisance, can't think of many players who can do what he does effectively Imagine if he improved as much over this coming Summer as he did the last...
foxfanazer Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Imagine if he improved as much over this coming Summer as he did the last...Ballon D'or?
MattGamble92 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I do remember being stood in front of some twat at Peterborough away last season who just kept shouting "admit you got it wrong Pearson, hes ****ing shite".I remember making a thread saying Vardy and Waghorn will never prove anything given 15 minutes at the end of games. Good to see them both doing well now.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 8 goals in his last 10 games I think now isn't it? Superb stuff
Guest ttfn Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 People saying he should be going to Brazil ahead of Lambert and Welbeck?! Personally I'd be disappointed if Hodgson and his team didn't have an eye on him and Ings. Anything can happen between now and June and we should be prepared for all eventualities, but we're talking players who should be 7th and 8th choice here rather than 4th and 5th. I'd certainly be taking: Rooney Sturridge Welbeck Lambert Carroll Rodriguez ...Before I even thought about Vardy. He's certainly playing extraordinarily well but is he one of the best 4 strikers in the country, even on "current form"?

He's certainly playing extraordinarily well but is he one of the best 4 strikers in the country, even on "current form"? He will only take four strikers guaranteed. So two of them will be left disappointed. For me that would be Carroll and Welbeck. People are getting carried away with themselves if they are being serious about Vardy or Ings for England at the minute. Once they prove themselves in the Premier League then yes it's a different story. Multi Million pound World Class playrrs have come from overseas to the Premier League and not been able to cut it, so thinking of giving a Championship player a chance with no proven Premier League record is stupid. However I might get in contact with a bookmaker before the start of next season and see what odds they would offer me on Vardy to score for England before Euro 2016. How do I go about this? E-mail them?
Munshi Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Vardy should be playing for England. Atleast we'd see a player giving it his everything for a change.
One Legged Beaver Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I've been wondering this over the last few matches, does anybody know how many times Vardy has rounded the keeper to score this season? It's becoming so frequent of late that it is just expected in a game now!
LC/FC Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 I've been wondering this over the last few matches, does anybody know how many times Vardy has rounded the keeper to score this season? It's becoming so frequent of late that it is just expected in a game now! You've just made me realise how Kasper stopped Rooney from rounding him, last week. When you have Vardy constantly doing that in training, you can't not get good at it.
foxfanazer Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 but what if we go up ? Never a premier league player.
lgfualol Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 unbelievable hahahahaha To be fair, how was anyone supposed to know he'd go from December 2012 Jamie Vardy to destroying Manchester United nearly 2 years later.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I think his story would make a great film. Just needs a England cap now.
Jace Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 This thread is a classic example of why supporters need to give players a chance and not get on there backs straight away
65RosesFox Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I think his story would make a great film. Just needs a England cap now. An England cap and a LCFC beanie that has the same logo as on the shirt
BigAL88 Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 I think his story would make a great film. Just needs a England cap now. there was film called goal. it is a replica of vardy
Larry_LCFC Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 Really any need to revive this again? Vardys improvement between season 1 and 2 was unprecedented and nobody could have truely seen it coming. He was dreadful when he joined us, the step up was just too great.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2014 Posted 21 September 2014 By his own admission he was terrible when he signed, I don't begrudge anybody thinking he was out of his depth and I doubt he would, either.
