Anthrax Posted 7 February 2014 Posted 7 February 2014 Waghorn just doesn't ever catch up with the speed of the game when he comes on. We play fast flowing football at our best and atleast players like phillips and schlupp (with his pace) can give us another dimension when nuge and vardy isn't working.. He may have scored a few goals for Millwall or whoever on loan but fails to shine against a team with an organised defence.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 This lad is turning into some player. Bags of goals, pace, ability. If he can make an impact á la Rickie Lambert, Jay Rodriguez on the Prem (when we get there) Roy would be foolish to overlook him..... (Am I really saying this??) Ps. If you want to sound like Roy pronounce cigarettes as cidarettes and replace your R's with W's and your half way there.....
Haydos Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 And this is why you don't write players off after 3 months
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Woy has constantly stated he wants players in form. There can be no more in-form English striker at present than Vardy. AT PRESENT, I'd rather have him in my squad than many of the strikers currently being touted for the plane. And I'm actually being serious.
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Never wrote him off personally. Said throughout last season, and the summer, that he had the ability to step up. Let's not forget that it was a big step for Vardy, and he has now adapted well. Scored some great goals this year - two again tonight which looked good, and the one at QPR still stands out.
VLC86 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 If Jamie Vardy is on the pitch for the pitch invasion I fear I may do unspeakable things to his rectum

Still too early Col, some fine tuning to his game to attend to. However, a good year next season in the Premier League (should we go up) and he could be in contention (like Lambert at Saints).
MC Prussian Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Is he really 27? He's a white Nigerian and at least 37.
TrentFox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 My name is Vardy, I say yeah yeah, du du du du And that's what I say, I say yeah yeah Du du du du And that's what I say, I say yeah yeah!! Whatever happened to Matt Bianco ???

I could see Vardy turning some of those old Italian guys on their arseholes. Imagine the number of penalties he'd get us!

So why the **** is Smalling and Welbeck in the team? The only reason I see why is because their Man Utd players. I would love Vardy to keep this form going all the way to the end of the season, scoring for fun, so hopefully 'Woy' will take some notice.

The funniest joke was those who were saying he was the same player last season. Was he fook!

ADK Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Never really known a player to make such a transformation. But very pleased.

Welbeck has 1 in every 2 in the league for an underperforming Utd.
Raj Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 He is one of the main reasons why we are what we are this season as opposed to last seaon. the transformation is immense!
Brainy Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Well somebody must be feeling a little stupid now. Why? Last season he pretty much was

Defoe, Lambert, Welbeck or Vardy?! Vardy has everything at the moment
Beliall Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 im sure hes caught the eye of the powers that be. be impossible to ignore
LCCFox96 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 What a player he is now. I think last season, while he was struggling, he showed enough to suggest he could make something of himself in the championship with his workrate and all round contribution. But this goal scoring form he's in - where did that come from?
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Agree. Who would you rather mark? Defoe, Lambert, Welbeck or Vardy?! Vardy has everything at the moment That about sums it up. When I said about winning penalties, I was being serious. Vardy would frighten defences more than any of the players you mentioned at present. I'd take Wellbeck.. I rate him. But Vardy over Defoe or Lambert? In a heartbeat.
