The End Of Rooney

Fergie doesn't like to be made a fool of and when Rooney tried to force through a transfer to Man City to get higher wages that must have angered Fergie - especially since he had to capitulate - which he'd never done before, Stam, Beckham, Keane they all got the boot when they crossed him.

Wouldn't suprise me if he's just been waiting for a time when he can go, 'Remember when you mugged me off and wanted to leave? You can **** off now Wayne, I don't need you anymore.'

I've always thought ever since their relationship seemed a bit strained - so whilst it would suprise me if Rooney went, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibilty.

Do people expect too much from Rooney in terms of scoring goals...he seems to create more and could have had a penalty today.

But then he did kick up a fuss to be paid 250k a week so should expect pressure.

There is no doubt that when he is at his optimum level he is a fantastic player. The problem with Rooney is

that he doesn't get to that level often enough, The reason being is that there are too many flaws in his

game (certainly to many to be considered a world class player), I think some of these flaws are a mental

thing and some could be because of SAF and some natural.

-Fitness problem(Occasionally overweight, Injuries and he sometimes smokes)

-Unprofessional(Argued with Fergie, Swearing at camera, moaning at the camera and he smokes)

-Lack of pace(Not his fault but world class players tend to have some pace(Messi,Ronaldo, Aguero))

-Temperament(Calmed down a bit, but still picks up needless yellows)

Also I think the fitness problem also comes down to the fact that he was playing everweek at 16

I think players that play regularly at 16/17/18 seem to burn out early later on in their career

look at Owen, Lampard and Gerrard becoming more injury prone. Obviously the players

mentioned are getting older and obvioulsy are going to pick up more injuries but I think that

young English players should be eased in more rather than them getting thrown straight in.

I'm starting to think Rooney is a little underrated!

Cracking player, his passing at times is brilliant and can he provide that extra bit of quality others cant, except for RVP.... Truth is the facts don't lie, he might not have realised his potential at international level thats obvious to see but he's one of our all time top scorers, and a has a good comparable international goal scoring record to other players.

I'd let him go too if I was Ferguson, depending on who he's got lined up. United's squad this year isn't actually that good, but the rest of the PL haven't been good enough. They need to rebuild and i'd start with getting rid of that horrible coont.

I'd let him go, while they can still get big money for him. Will sell for a lot more now than he will in 2 years when his contract expires, and I have a hunch that he's only going to go downhill from here.

They could use the money to finally buy a midfielder. When Carrick is the most important member in your team (since he's really the only player they don't have adequte cover for) then you know something is wrong.
