I forgot to post mine as well!

Quiros, Koepka, Edfors

Quiros shot 4 under today with 7 birdies and an eagle. What a prat he was on the other holes.

Not played golf for years but remember playing Western Park & Humberstone Heights back in the day. Should really take it back up again

Haha what a course that is! I remember playing a junior league match vs them about 15 years ago and I holed a wedge for eagle and was really chuffed with myself except when I went to get the ball out of the hole someone had done a great big dump in it and I got pony all over my hand. Absolutely horrible. Hahahahaa

lol

It's actually a very decent course now I think. Better than Breedon Priory certainly. £8 cheaper a round too, and longer

Went round Western Park in 96 this morning. My lowest ever round and only the second time I've broke 100. Not played that course for a year too. 5 pars and 6 bogey's, yet I still a 9 and an 8! Nearest to pin on 17th too.

Very happy

I actually remember playing there moons ago and a kid rode his bike across the 17th green as we were about to tee off.

We assumed he would stop, but he didnt. My mate said ''take dead aim'' and i did.

Naturally, i pulled it long left and missed him by a good 15 yards! made a bogey, but then remember getting the shot back at 18 with a birdie

Never seen that on a course before!

Done a little bit more tipping than normal as its a special week on the golfing calendar, and i cant wait to be a part of the action at Muirfield on friday.

Ive gone for:

Tournament Winner Each Ways (£2 on each)

Sergio Garcia 28/1. There isnt a better shotmaker out there in my eyes and if he gets the putter rolling, he can win. A fairly quiet season so far, but has had many near misses in majors and i think time is still on his side to bag one. Has a couple of Open Championship runner up finishes in recent history.

Padraig Harrington 70/1. 70/1 doesnt suggest a 2 time Open Champion and 3 time major winner. Hasnt felt comfortable with his game recently, but you cant write Paddy off. He can scramble the life out of a course and doesnt seem to mind, and He wont back off if his name starts climbing the board.

Shane Lowry 90/1. Looking more and more comfortable at golf's top table, and wasnt in the least bit intimidated by playing in this years WGC's so far. Grew up playing and winning on courses like Baltray is no mean feat when the weather gets tough and has a very neutral ball flight.

Chris Wood 140/1. Has form in this event, won the silver medal at Birkdale in tough conditions in his first open, and followed it up with a top 5 finish at Turnberry. Results show he can handle windy conditions and the test of links golf. Looked very comfortable at the top of the leaderboard en route to winning the Qatar Masters.

Brett Rumford 250/1. My real outsider pick. If you havent seen this guy play, you have no idea how good he is with a putter and a wedge. He can get up and down from anywhere. Having already won twice this season, He is having a golden autumn to his career and i really like him as an outsider pick.

First Round Leader (Just £1)

Rickie Fowler 50/1. A bit of a ''feast or famine'' type player, but has shown he has a degree of comfort at the Open. Highly doubt he has four rounds in him, but certainly no stranger to going low on a thursday morning.

Fred Couples 175/1. In the field by virtue of his Senior British Open performance. Freddie can still play with the big guns as his PGA tour appearances show, and is a horses for courses man. He doesnt have 4 good rounds in him these days, but he certainly has an opening round mid 60 if he gets it going.

Assume that is E.W for 10 places, which is pretty good if it's 1/4 odds.

I went to the open at Lytham last year for the Saturday and Sunday for 60 quid a day.

The food concessions where expensive and poor quality.

This year they have hiked the price to 75 and they are surprised attendance is 20% down.

The R&A really are out of touch for more than one reason.
