I thought you had to be a certain age before you could be Pope anyway. Would not do to have a Pope that was modern thinking or had all their marbles.

Are you throwing your hat in the ring? :D

Bob Diamond would make a good Pope. A man who can tell lies and convince followers that he is making decisions in their interest and for their benefit. Not sure if the pay would be enough though. In his last job he earned 120 million quid.

What was the point in electing a Pope who was so old in the first place? He's onlybeen doing it 6 or 7 years!

This is the only Pope I've been around so far to see be elected and then pass it on to someone else. Listening to all the world leaders compliment him struck me as a bit daft. I mean, what actually does he do? You can get far more input and meaningfulness listening to BBC RL Thought For The Day every morning.

Its the same with us all. The last time a pope resigned was in the middle ages.

I like your theme. He would also be head of an organisation whose sole purpose is peddling its own bullshit and **** the consequences to the little guy.

Zingari'll have a story about that then.

Story? Maybe. Pun? Most certainly :D

Richard III didn't even have a car-park spot reserved when it happened, so not even DavieG is likely to remember it.

I would like to nominate Mel Gibson . He's a shit actor a fornicator , a thick Australian wife beater and absolutley hates Jews. Tailor made for it if you ask me.

The tide of public opinion managed to get Webbo made a mod here, which lets be honest is pretty much like being the pope...

telling people what to do

stopping them from doing what they want

trying to keep masses of shady characters under control

Webbo for pope!

Think he resigned before any of his potential successors were too old, too senile or too dead to take over.

Isn't being senile a prerequisite for running a religion...
