Mike the Metal Ed Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 This is probably the cheapest chance I'll get to tick off Portman Road, and it's a nice easy train from Southend, so I'll be one of the few.

Dan LCFC Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 It's a farce, absolutely obscene prices, it's no wonder their ground is half empty. It's a shame to be fair as Ipswich could be a potentially good away IMO. It's right near the centre of the ground and it's a pretty nice one too, just never take a good number there for that reason. Corky Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 Nearest away trip for me, so I'll be going.
Father Ted Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 Dirty prices as expected. I'll probably go though with the student prices as it looks like a mate will be driving down.

Agree with that. Difficult by train but a proper four sided ground with potential to get coaches/minibuses down the A14 easily. Could easily attract plenty if the tickets were the right price. 1964FOX Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 Still working on my mate to do a coach to this, tickets are expensive, bit of a git to get to but it's a good away day. Some great pubs in the town.

Leicesterpool Posted 15 February 2013 Share Posted 15 February 2013 May go but more than likely travelling on the coach, to expensive on the rail.

Maybes Posted 17 February 2013 Share Posted 17 February 2013 It's ridiculous, absolute waste really, other than Norwich, Leeds and the odd exception, does anyone really take over 1,500 there? I've seen some of the pictures that awaydays on twitter receive. It's hilarious. If they offered tickets at say £20, I'm sure the away end would increase by more than a third for most clubs. The most anyone has took there this season is Sheff Wednesday taking 1400. The average is 680 meaning they are the second worst attended away game, just behind M'boro at 619. Libertine Dream Posted 17 February 2013 Share Posted 17 February 2013 The average amount taken to Ipswich this season is 680, only Middlesbrough is less. The most so far was 1400 from Wednesday, only 3 have taken more than a thousand but Leeds haven't been yet
Harry - LCFC Posted 17 February 2013 Share Posted 17 February 2013 What was our following last season? Prices were similar to what they are now so we could make a good guess from that figure.

Harry - LCFC Posted 17 February 2013 Share Posted 17 February 2013 Around 800. Surely we'll be above 1000 then. We're doing much better than we were last season. I think we'll beat Wednesday's 1400 if we do well in the next three matches.
