Captain... Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Don't like Barton, I doubt a lot of people do. As Uncle Albert said, his disrespect to Hamann (a better footballer, a better professional) was the final straw for me, as well. I don't have twitter, and I'm glad I don't. Seems like a place where famous people like to mouth off at each other, on top of everything... Barton is an idiot though, we all knew that anyway. And Kingfox is a Bieber fan then. We learn something new everyday. When people say you should learn something new everyday, I don't think it is this kind of information they had in mind.

Alf Bentley Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 In further news, I heard that Kasey Keller reckoned that Geri Halliwell was a bit too ginger for his liking. What's more, Gary Lineker got really irritated at John Lydon's popularity around the time of the second PIL album. As for Keith Weller, you should have heard him go on about Roy Wood out of Wizzard, slating the bloke for having such a big beard and all that glitter in his hair. Outrageous! What do you lads and lasses reckon? I'm surprised that nobody else is outraged by these comments. I mean, Geri H couldn't help being ginger and it helped give her a distinctive identity in the Spice Girls. "Metal Box" was a revolutionary album, for which PIL could easily be credited with launching the post-punk genre....and Roy Wood was just having a laugh and helping people to have a bit of fun. What's wrong with any of that, and why should those footballers come out with such unfair criticisms? Mind you, back in the day, when Peter Beardsley commented that Sting was a smug, smarmy little shit and that if he met him in the Amazon rainforest, he'd deck the **** and feed him to the crocodiles, he certainly had a point.
purpleronnie Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I like Barton. He is a breath of fresh air in the otherwise dim world of footballers who can hardly string a sentance together without their PA's! He says it how he thinks... Agreed.
kingfox Posted 4 March 2013 Author Posted 4 March 2013 And Kingfox is a Bieber fan then. We learn something new everyday. Yes nothing wrong with the guy, it's those idiotic rappers that do my nut, like Example, Professor Green and others. Plus he has a hot body.

Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, I'm pretty sure actually arguing with yourself is the second, or is that hairs on the palm of your hand?
Guesty Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Used to follow him on Twitter till I finally had enough of his attention seeking tweets/arguments. Sometimes they're funny and he has a point, but he knows if he's outrageous it'll get him in the press and more followers. He only ever picks on easy targets like Bieber, Towie who he knows his followers will probably dislike - or some footballer who he knows something private about. If anyone answers him back like Dietmar Hamann and challenges him in a battle of wits he gets all flustered and just says nasty personal stuff - he seems to think if he quotes some philospher it makes him just as clever. We could all copy and paste a quote, that being said I think he is quite clever but he seems to have some sort of inferiority complex and have to tell/prove/brag to everyone how clever he is, when in reality he's no rocket scientist. Makes me laugh that when he does say something that over steps the line (etc Hamann) he seems to think somehow he's the victim, says sorry and he's trying to improve as a person, etc. It just gets tiresome.
AdamN Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Even I don't like Joey Barton, his disrespect to Didi Hammann was the final straw for me. Don't like Barton, I doubt a lot of people do. As Uncle Albert said, his disrespect to Hamann (a better footballer, a better professional) was the final straw for me, as well. Was it really a petty argument that finally got you to dislike him, over everything else that he has done?
Samilktray Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I'd imagine Bieber has too much money to even pay him any mind.
Soar Fox Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I would be surprised if Bieber has ever even heard of him.
Uncle Albert Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Was it really a petty argument that finally got you to dislike him, over everything else that he has done? Pretty much, I hadn't seen Barton get so malicious and nasty before on Twitter before until his aggro with Didi. It was all very silly, to come out with some of the things he said was very low and that finally convinced me he was an idiot. That's my Liverpool head though, he tried disgracing a Liverpool Legend so I didn't like it, most people wouldn't treat a former team mate like that. Unless it was people discussing Dennis Wise. The thing is though Joey Barton will get a kick out of people not liking him and he won't be bothered in the slightest if me or anyone has a problem with him, that's what I do respect about him.
Fox92 Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Was it really a petty argument that finally got you to dislike him, over everything else that he has done? Yes.
AdamN Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Pretty much, I hadn't seen Barton get so malicious and nasty before on Twitter before until his aggro with Didi. I'd be here all day if I tried to list all the malicious, nasty things he's done away from Twitter!
Uncle Albert Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I'd be here all day if I tried to list all the malicious, nasty things he's done away from Twitter! Yeah I understand what you're saying but I used to see past that with Barton because there was once a time I rated him as a Footballer, then his ego got bigger than him. Like I said as well my dislike came for him because of the Didi saga, I didn't like how a Liverpool Legend was trying to be dragged through dirt on a Social Network.
Fox You Forest Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Yes. I reckon you and Zlayrex should team up to make daisy chains.
Fox92 Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I reckon you and Zlayrex should team up to make daisy chains. We've already done that. Next please.
Fox You Forest Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Only if you're sure, dandelions are twice the size.
RonnieTodger Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Sometimes he’s funny, but more often than not he’s embarrassing. It’s the way he almost prides himself on being philosophical and articulate because he’s revised a few quotes and knows the meaning of a few big words. It’s pretty easy to stand out in comparison to most top-flight footballers, anyway. As they say “actions speak louder than words†and 90% of the time, his actions are moronic.
ealingfox Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, I'm pretty sure actually arguing with yourself is the second, or is that hairs on the palm of your hand? No, the second sign is Suggs walking up to your front door
Alexikokopops Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Agree with Raj. Barton at least is interesting. He's not interesting. He's just not as mind numbingly dull as the majority of footballers. He just looks interesting by default.
Fox92 Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Only if you're sure, dandelions are twice the size. Now, that's pushing it.
AyewJoking Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 Anyhow, I bet Bieber is absolutely devastated by the news that an ex con soccer player currently running around in France doesnt like him very much.
kingfox Posted 5 March 2013 Author Posted 5 March 2013 Bieber was late to his O2 concert last night, and little kids were devastated, but these kids are little brats, trying to get publicity. Bieber is the man.
BoneDog Posted 5 March 2013 Posted 5 March 2013 "He looks little a shaved little bird with earrings. This is a truly ****ed up world" "He's a smack addiction waiting to happen. #macaulaycaulkinstyle" "@justinbieber is just a young, american Jimmy Savile." Good tweets that beat 90% of Twitter for entertainment value. At least those tweets are slightly interesting. Twitter is chock full of bore so Barton is a welcome change. A shaved little bird with earrings, and an American Jimmy Saville The only thing better I've seen on Twitter recently was when the real Gail Platt said she'd just snorted a line off Norris' cock.
