Larry_LCFC Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 I dont understand the decision to sell him. We arent desperate for the money at the minute but we are desperate for defensive cover and some pace/creativity. The owners have made it cleary they will back us financially so surely we should be hauling him back. Shouldnt the fact Man U can see massive potential in him set alarm bells ringing with Pearson that we should keep him?
jamesmilner Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 And what is that in English? in plain english . you are a tw@ !
Happy Fox Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 in plain english . you are a tw@ ! In other words the reason Schlupp is their is to help our club be a Category 1 club?

Shouldnt the fact Man U can see massive potential in him set alarm bells ringing with Pearson that we should keep him? Did you not see the +£30m of debt article then? We aren't as rich and almighty as some may think. For the record, I think he needs to be recalled to cover for Konchesky. If he does go, I doubt he'd go now, he'd go at the end of the season, perhaps a similar deal to Zaha? Plus. The article said "negotiations" where has it said that we've let him go for £1.5m? I reckon there will be add-ons, buy backs, games played in the PL. Pearson isn't stupid, contrary to popular belief.
Simmo86 Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 If Konch is injured then I'm guessing he'll be back with us?
Happy Fox Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 If Konch is injured then I'm guessing he'll be back with us? You would hope so, Dyer at LB is not a pretty sight on the eyes.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 £3m and Keane... If Konch is injured then I'm guessing he'll be back with us? Well he can't play another U21 game for them
dmayne7 Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 in plain english . you are a tw@ ! That's not English either...
Soar Fox Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 in plain english . you are a tw@ ! lol Calm down kid.
Danno Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 I don't see how he is worth more than 1.5 million. He has scored only about 6 goals for the first team and never looked good up front and was poor on the wing. He played at left back and looked okay against Forest although they didn't even have a recognised winner and gave away a penalty against Leeds. All he has is pace.
indierich06 Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made 36 appearances for Southampton and was sold for £12m (pretty sure those appearances were made in League 1 too?). Schlupp has made around the same amount of appearances for us and so I would think we'd be entitled to expect a little bit more than 10% of what was paid for Chamberlain?! I'm not saying we're going to be hitting those figures but I reckon we should be aiming for £5m and/or putting a first refusal clause into his contract should Utd. want to sell him! I think Schlupp's got a lot of potential, but AOC is a million times better than Schlupp will ever be already
Guest MattP Posted 6 March 2013 Posted 6 March 2013 Crikey how much cash to people want for a 20 year old reserve. If this wasn't Man Utd I don't think we would be moaning.

davieG Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Leicester City News â€@FoxesNews Schlupp back with Foxes - Jeffrey Schlupp has returned to Leicester following his trial at Manchester United. http://ow.ly/2vk4uw and again.... Jeffrey Schlupp has returned to Leicester following his trial at Manchester United. Schlupp, who came through the youth ranks at City, has spent the past month with the Barclays Premier League leaders, making two appearances for the Red Devils' Under-21 side. Reports this week have suggested a deal is in place for the 20-year-old to move to Old Trafford in the summer, but Foxes boss Nigel Pearson insists those stories are wide of the mark for the moment. He told BBC Radio Leicester: "We will be discussing what the next step is, and as soon as we find that out ourselves then we will let you know. He has done well up there." German-born Ghana international Schlupp is a striker by trade but he has been used as a makeshift left-back by Pearson on several occasions this season.

Typical foxestalk.
birdwith2beaksandnofriends Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Indeed. Pearson is an idiot, but there are far more valid, painful and yukky sticks to beat him with. Hell, you don't even need a stick to beat Pearson, just roll up in town with 11 very mediocre footballers.
shiv Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I'd imagine this is due to Konch being injured. I reckon he would have stayed there a bit longer.
ty fox Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 i hope we keep him but that wont happen soon as season ends he will be gone i fear. Lets face it yes the money isnt alot but if he doesnt fit into pearsons system you cant adapt the whole way of playing for one lad.i also think its a bit of a sweetner to keep united on side for further transfers

He has pace and better ball control than Dyer, Vardy, Wood, and Futacs and actually looks more composed on the ball than Konchesky......it would be a shame to loose him.

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Bale (For Southampton) = 45 apps - 5 Goals Walcott (For Southampton) = 21 apps - 4 Goals Oxlade Chamberlain (For Southampton) = 36 apps - 9 Goals Powell (For Crewe) = 55 apps - 14 Goals Schlupp (including Brentford loan) = 36 apps - 8 Goals I beg to differ None of them are strikers though, Schlupp is.
