On the same token, Schlupp has experience of playing at a higher domestic and international level than AOC did when he was signed. I'm not saying we should get what was paid for AOC as I feel that Schlupp's future lies at left back and attackers always command a higher price; I'm just saying that we should expect a higher price than £1.5m.

At the end of the day he isn't getting into our starting 11 so for a substitute championship player it isn't too bad of a price Agree with this. Comparing him with Zaha is ridiculous. Zaha is a 1st teamer for more than a season scoring goals.

I really want him to stay and become the next Heskey etc. Where Schlupp has suffered however, is that the two positions he can play in - are both already taken my accomplished players. Konchesky has been solid all season - and to replace him with Schlupp would be naive - regardless whether he should be given a chance or not. Upfront - well we've had Nugent on form for most of the season and we've been picking up goals from elsewhere, King, Marshall, Knockaert - so we haven't been particularly struggling up front either. Had Schlupp been a tough tackling midfield general, then I can see him playing a large part for us. I don't think it is a case of "face don't fit" - it's a case of having better, more accomplished players in his position already.

I'm not convinced by jeff as a striker, but I think he could do a really good job down the left, I think we have not given him, or not wanted to give the the chance because, we insist on shoe horning Knocky into the side, which with the 442 means playing him left, because otherwise we can't get marshall in the side, some of knockys better work as come when cutting in from the right. Maybe if we had used Marshall and Knocky as the right sided players and used dyer as back up to schlupp on the left. But he's not getting games and not developing, so of course he will be looking to leave and if Man Utd come calling, it's a good a place as anywhere, games or no games.

Certainly don't think we'll get that much but hopefully we don't just fold. There could be clauses and hidden terms behind the fee that also must be taken into account.

Its irrelavant how many games weve given him, Utd clearly see the potential and to offer £1.5m is quite frankly insulting

It won't be us who benefit from getting the pick of Man Utd youngsters it will be more than likely the club that Pearson is next managing. To think that we paid a million pound for a 25 year old conference player and then selling one of our best young products for 500k more, in my opinion is terrible business. A manager is judged by his transfer business ..... and this is the best example yet of his incompetence.

We play hardball, they will just walk away 2 - Whats best for the player is the opportunity of a lifetime to go and play at Man Utd. Why should we risk that for the sake of a few more quid? 3 - Man Utd and NP seem to have a good relationship in putting their young talent our way. Drinky, James, RDL, Keane, Cleverley and at Hull NP had a good few. Why put that at risk? I think too many are looking at this the wrong way that we're somehow being done over. My view is that we're doing whats best for Jeff and also whats best for what has been a valuable pipeline of transfer activity. If we had the next Messi playing week in and week out, this situation would not occur. We dont. What we have is a lad with a bit of promise that seems to have stagnated in his preferred position of a striker. We're doing the right thing.

With all due respect to Jeff, he's done nothing to warrant a hefty price tag.

Give him the chance he deserves in our side. 2. We aren't Man Utd's feeder club despite what Pearson thinks .... We are Leicester City - he plays for us. If Man Utd want him then they have to pay for him. 3. Because there are plenty of other clubs to do business with. Us bending over and letting them shaft us doesn't help in the long run - and the relationship is with NP not LCFC .... and I don't want to give our talent away to fund NP's next managerial appointment.
