If they are under performing could this not be down to their percieved arrogance or complacency.

Danno Posted 10 March 2013 Posted 10 March 2013 Watched Taft play for the u21 development yesterday they lost 3-0 to a strong Huddersfield outfit , he started at centre half then went to full back & ended up left wing , absolutely head & shoulders above any other player on the pitch , stood out by a mile . Love watching the development games , missed yesterday's because I went to see the 1st team but went to the Ricoh arena Monday to see them play Cov City , we won the game 3-1 Taft played at the back with St Ledger & was outstanding , needs a chance soon or I feel he will be off to pastures new at Leicester's expense . I think no matter what any of em do they would not get in to our 1st team. Glad to see charlton giving a debut to one of their youth on sat at Huddersfield and the boy scored on his debut and he's not even got a pro contract yet?? So many teams playin the young uns and doin well. But Pearson will play same boring bunch and lose tomorrow again. Vardy Kane & co for the season for us, whether they score or not does not matter, best thing is that fans love him anyway. Keep it up Nigel we won't complain. Stick with the tripe players and we will keep the faith forever. Ps youth players get out of here whilst you can. 21s top of the league for NOWT!!!

And what other teams around us have promoted their academy prospects this season and are doing well? Can't think of any at Cardiff, Hull, Watford, Palace, Forest, Bolton or Boro. What's this obsession with any player outside of our first team being a god-like genius? Plus we've had three academy graduates in and around the team this season in Schlupp, King and Moore. And you act like we're playing a bunch of old duffers - we've got more or less the youngest squad in the league! Martyn Waghorn's played for the development squad plenty of times this season and looked absolutely class, scoring most times that he's played. Should this give him an automatic place in the first team?!

Or was it another one of our players who were not good enough who stuffed us twice this season
