Simmo86 Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Hull, save Forest for the final. The only thing being that as much as it would be glorious to win against Forest in the final, it'd also be gut-wrenchingly excruciating to be defeated by them. It'd be Cardiff 09/10 x billion. Wouldn't enjoy the 90 minutes one bit if we played Forest in the final. I'd be a wreck!

Your right there StanSP being a Loughborough lad originally I would feel that pain more than most, I have some friends who are red scum fans and this would add to it as I know they wouldn't be able to resist rubbing it in

That's why I'd rather not play them at all. Losing to Watford or Palace I'll get over. Hull would take a bit longer after all the mouthing off their fans have done. But losing to them is not even worth thinking about. I'd rather see the apocalypse.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Same here... I got a good feeling back again.. Oi gimme my specs back!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Whats funny for me is that we will likely finish with less points than in 2010. That team had Weale, Neilson, Brown, Howard, Fratt, Waghorn, Wellens, N'Guessan, etc in it, yet they finsihed with 76. And most people would say we have a better team now, yet its funny how really as a team we probably arent as strong, better individually though
Munshi Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 On that predictor, I have us going up in second with us and hull on 80 points but our GD is too much. I had us winning every game from now
Ozwin Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 We've got to make the playoffs first chaps. Not a full on certainty.

Brown and Hobbs were solid Wellens and King were good in the centre Howard and Fryatt played well together. What we were was a better defensive unit away from home, as I've said time again. We rarely lost away, instead picking up more draws. Nielsen and Berner simply defended. Our losses away from home this season have been our undoing. And this didn't happen much last time around under Pearson.

And this didn't happen much last time around under Pearson. Morgan and whoever next to him have been solid, we'll let in less goals this season than 2010 i think. So the defence isnt an issue, we just seemingly picked up more 1-1 draws etc away rather than losing 1-0 or 2-1. And we'll score more this season, its just we have scored a lot in certain games rather than being consistent like in 2010. What i dont get is that under us first time and at Hull Pearson won and drew a lot of games 1-0/0-0. We cant do that this time for some reason which has been our undoing away. But i agree with the bulk of your post
RowlattsFox Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Think the international break will do us good, clear up niggles and freshen up, before hitting a good run to end the season. I hope anyway. Just hope we go into it on the back of a win this weekend.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Still think there's plenty of twists and turns to come and the top 6 places will be as tight as a Nuns buns.
deanolegend1989 Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Id rather have Hull in the playoffs as I dont rate them and would fancy our chances. If not Id say Watford because they are an attacking team and I think that would work in our favour plus they arnt great at home so 2nd leg could help us. Palace would be the toughest IMO. They dont lose many games and they have a good mixture of flair and experience. Only 1 loss at home all season which was on the opening day. Forest would be better in the Semi's than a potential final but thats looking unlikely . I predict: 1. Cardiff 2. Hull 3. Palace 4. Watford 5. Leicester 6. Forest 1st legs: Leicester 2-1 Watford Forest 1-1 Palace 2nd legs: Watford 1-1 Leicester Palace 3-1 Forest Final: Palace V Leicester(Inevitable after 96 and also Holloway being the manager haha). Palace 1-2 Leicester Zaha 42 Wood 33 Keane 88 CMON LEICESTER
lcfc1994 Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 we need to take advantage of our 'easy' games. Barnsley is key because thats when I think most of the top 6 could drop points, Blackpool v Crystal Palace Burnley v Nottingham Forest Brighton v Charlton Hull City v Watford ( Hopefully a draw) as long as we focus on winning our home games and drawing the away games, im sure the other teams will drop points, as they have quite a hard run-in too.
AyewJoking Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Best pull our socks up cos I dont fancy the last 3 games.

Jfox Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Can anyone else see us gettign Cardiff in the play offs again? With them bottling it and finishing 3rd and us 6th.

Not sure whether that would be a good thing or a bad thing... They'd have to truly bottle it to wind up in the play-offs, but they've definitely had the rub of the green against us. We've completely outplayed them twice this season and ended up with one point. Similar results in the play-offs would be bloody heartbreaking.

Scoring in the 88th with likely 6 more minutes would be a mad house on here adding another 10 pages every couple of minutes. I'd be loving it and hating it.....no wonder my head gets messed up supporting this team.
lestajigs Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Hull, although they are second they seem the most poor to me, then place or forest in the fjnal
deejdeej Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Generally looking at the next 6 games to get nearly all of the points we need for a play off spot.
