Vacamion Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 I gave up a twenty year long twenty a day habit because of the ads on TV warning me it was harmful to health and the prominent warnings on the packet. Not.
Kitchandro Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Smoking is unattractive. Unless it's a cigar or a pipe, then it's dead cool.
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Gave up at Christmas,I had had a couple of years just smoking at weekends, but was about 20 a day before that, and like a thick twat I didn't start till I was 23.Really chuffed with myself to be honest, don't think about it too much at all.I rule the fags not the other way around and I'm a stubborn git ,so won't start again.

I'm glad you've given up smoking CF , it'll only stump your growth .
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 I'm glad you've given up smoking CF , it'll only stump your growth . it only affected my knob!
Zingari Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 it only affected my knob! I'm not sure what you mean , are you saying your knob has had lots of puffs on it ?
Webbo Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 it only affected my knob! I'm sure you make up for it in girth.
SystonFox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Smoking is unattractive. Unless it's a cigar or a pipe, then it's dead cool. At what age do you start to want or consider a good old fashioned pipe? Never see any 20 year old girls puffing on a pipe in the smoking shelter out the back of Walkabout
ADK Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Never smoked, don't know why you would want to, it makes you stink, its expensive and it kills you.
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 I'm sure you make up for it in girth. its like a can of polish!
I am Rod Hull Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Never smoked Dont go to Leicester City games, don't know why you would want to, it makes you stink, its expensive and it kills you.
Carl the Llama Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 What would FT be without the hordes rushing to their horses of tall stature? Don't smoke cigs because I don't like the taste (not for lack of trying mind!), and it doesn't really do anything for me, but I'll happily toke on the increasingly occasional spliff. If you can afford it and it's not simply something you do to be cool, it's your life so who gives? I think in this day and age people are more than well-informed enough on the dangers of smoking to be aware of the implications of their decisions.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Come to think of it I've never seen a woman smoke a cigar either. You have never been to Thailand then...
cambridgefox Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 You have never been to Thailand then... Does an albino cigar/ cigarillo count? As a friendly local was puffing away on one I gave her.

I'm an ex-smoker, I'm meant to be a twat about smoking now
halferowley2 Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Stopped smoking 7 years ago, smoked 40 a day. Really pleased I did it, never thought I would. But i now feel healthier, breathing better, more energy and more money. Dont know if its good or bad but I can now aford a season ticket no prob (only equal to a months supply of fags). Good luck to anyone trying to stop I did it with the NHS Stop Smoking Team I fpound it really good support.

Hate walking past someone in the street who's going the opposite direction and is smoking; it just blows back at you and is unpleasant.

Hate walking past someone in the street who's going the opposite direction and is smoking; it just blows back at you and is unpleasant. True. Same goes for leaving a pub and having to pass through a shroud of smoke (better than having to drink your beer in it mind). Allow me to rephrase: If [blablabla] and you can show common courtesy to others, it's your life so who gives? Better?
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Giving up again tomorrow. Have 4 fags left to smoke then quitting time. It is easy to give up. I have quit loads of times before...
lavrentis Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 Giving up again tomorrow. Have 4 fags left to smoke then quitting time. It is easy to give up. I have quit loads of times before... Or you could say you have never quit once
jamesmilner Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 stopped friday . i didnt smoke cigarettes but reefers . my sleeping pattern is not good but its early days . got to crack it this time , ive let myself smoke FAR TOO LONG . I hope this is the time as my record is 10 days (pathetic i know) , ive never ever lit a cigarette in my 48 yrs so thats a small plus . im too old to smoke this crap so ive wised up . i think the support you get from family and friends is vital . not the best days of my life too so i know what im up against . im going to be strong as long as i can . i class all of you lot my friends so a message of encouragement to me and all others that want to quit i know is only a plus . good luck to anyone in this process and message me if you think i can help , its really tough for some people as i know !
