Pearson should be telling the players this....

we

go out and win every game. we have the players capable of doing this,

we just dont have the belief at the moment, need to forget the last 7

games, we still have control of our final position, if we win the last 6

we will be in the play offs due to fact that we have to play Brighton

and Forest

He needs to tell them that one their day they are the best team in the league because its the truth! I've felt like crying these last few weeks! We're better than this, I can't believe we're going to let it all just fizzle out! Pearson just tell them they're good, tell them what all footballers want to hear, they're a bunch of men with egos, get the belief back in to them and then pick a 4-4-2 with knockaert and dyer on the wings, put Schlupp at LB and lets ****ing rape Brighton, ffs we CAN do this!

If Pearson's using made up words like believeth in his team talks he should be shown the door. Tolkien he ain't.

The irony. lol

This was no attack on you by the way, I just found it funny. Also, I think sacking a manager because of some artistic use of the English language in his team talks is a little harsh, don't you? :P

Ain't is in the dictionary now though, I believe(th) ;)

Really?? That surprises me a bit, it's grammatically incorrect so they shouldn't really have done that. Although it's used so often now they kind of have to I suppose.

EDIT: Wow, I'm trying to police the dictionary now, telling them they shouldn't have a word in there. Oh dear. :sweating:

Cardif maybe top of the league but i think on our day we are a better side, both matches we played them we should have won, it seem easier for us to sit here and moan about the side, when we know they can play amazing football, cause we seen it and Pearson was in charge when they played that amazing football.

He should be asking the players if they want to be bog standard Championship players for the rest of their careers or if they want to go further. I'd ask every player individually and those that say they're happy, I'd drop straight away.

And play a team of 5 players with no subs?

Said pretty much exactly the same thing to my mate.

If you want to get anywhere and win something, you need to embrace pressure as a positive.

Or always bob along as mediocre

The fact is that this is what they are, and they know that if we got promoted many of them wouldn't play in the prem as regularly because we'd have to get some better players in. Maybe they're happy at this level, taking their money and living comfortably in the area. Cynical me thinks they don't want the disruption.

He's probably telling the players: "we are collectively responsible for this run and we must rectify it" (Pearson's favourite post-match words)
